After getting super lucky and capturing the king of Ravenstern in the first month of the game, I had a set of plate armor, warhorse, and blunt lance.

The lone berserker I had to face didn't give a fuck about any of that, though. He took the lance hit without so much as a stumble and proceeded to clothesline my horse and then OHKO'd me before I could even get off the ground.

My Marisa had eight hundred health and a few level two cards.
Even, or perhaps especially in the Dazzling weather, none of that helped her when Yuuka used Double Spark.

Some cultists killed me, turned me into a wraith and told me to kill the AI. I got a few good hits on it before being shot to death by laser turrets.

Wasn't paying attention to my suits power, and my cloak deactivated while I was swimming across the river.  The attack helicopter overhead, already pissed due to me trying to blow it apart with a rocket launcher earlier, decided to have a bit of revenge.  I tried diving underneath the water but it wasn't deep enough to offer any protection.

It's sad that, years later, I still know the mission you're talking about. Always felt like that river was way too long, but maybe I missed something en route while running from shrub to shrub.


On-topic: brought a knife to a gunfight. That alone wasn't a problem, but sadly the knife was modded with Blast damage, which did absolutely nothing to the Protectors. The first couple were electric, and two of my teammates had electric abilities, so all was well. The third was Cold, however, and the combination of his aura and our team's complete lack of frost damage caused a team wipe.

Started the round as a clown. The head of security asked me to come with him so he could deputize me. The captain announced that the first person to get their hands on my ID would get all access, so the HoS promptly dragged me to the security office before anyone could take it. The captain ended the "game" because I was being deputized, so I grabbed some of the security equipment and left. Some assistants took my security items and tossed them out airlocks, so I decided to kill myself as I was unable to bear the burden of being security-clown. The AI's laws had been changed to acknowledge me as the second most important person on the station right next to the captain, so I wrote a suicide note and showed it to one of the cameras so the AI could see it before biting off my tongue.
