I thought that my party was ready for the Elite Four when they were in the low-fifties. And I was right, defeating the Elite Four with some difficulty. And then I come to Wallace and I whited out then and there. I only managed to get one hit in the entire battle before the total party wipe. So I grinded, and grinded, and grinded and managed to get everyone up to level 60 to try again, thinking that I had it this time.
lol nope. Wallace easily wipes me off the face of the planet without a loss then and there. Goddamn fuck shit.

So no, I'm not a terribly Pokemon player, I'm just playing a ROM hack. A very difficult ROM hack. And not a fun difficult either. A 'All of the gym leaders' Pokemon are a stage of evolution above you and 10+ levels on top of that' bullshit difficulty level where you have to wipe them out in one hit before they do the same to you. Not too much strategy is allowed when you can't take more than two hits. And Wallace is the bullshitinest champion of all time, having a party full of legendaries. Not pseudo-legendaries, but top-of-the-line guys that you won't have access to until after you beat him.
The only good news is that game's Rayquaza-equivalent is Grass/Electricity, so if I get her I should be able to beat Wallace's bloody head in. That's pretty much my only option though. Some experimentation shows that my guys have to be least level 70 to batter past his very first grunt. Yay...
