Still playing Just Cause 2. (Damn this game is a quicksandbox)
Lessons learned:

When the airplane challenge course description lists difficulty at three stars, it means it.
It also means that if you try to get the bonus gates, the actual difficulty will be four stars. Out of three.
(Exploded like twelve times, and jumped out just in time about as many times, just on the one course. And still opted out of getting the final bonus gate. Dayum.)

The slopes around the Top of the World are not steep enough to skydive to the river below.

The overloading oil pumps are actually quite explosive.

I'm getting pretty good at not dying in this game though. :P

Lost a lot of progress

Zetta gets hit by a stray spear strike while I had 1 incredibly strong unit on the field. Basically when Zetta gets hit, you can't summon more units.

My unit proceeds to sweep the map till a mechanic taps him for zero damage and scoots him off the map.

Not dead yet, but I lost a civil war and will now live out the rest of my days in a dungeon. Who woulda thought that surviving a single year would be so difficult?

ETA: Dammit! Utterly crushed a rebellion (though I took a different path to get to it, I guess, because I made several different choices), only to be challenged to a duel! Small problem: I never took a single weapons class. I tried to refuse, hoping the guards would intervene, only to get run through.

So do these various tests have set skill levels that you must beat, or is there some randomness to them? I find it hard to believe that with a 70+ Divination I managed to fail so many Divination tests...

Found both the roboticizer and the Metal Sonic hologram in Tidal Tempest, after half an hour of searching and restarting to find the best route. I destroy the roboticizer only to hop right into a crushing trap.

Right as I embark, a syndrome cloud blankets my wagon. Fuck. Because it's modded, 1 month later everyone turns into werewolves. Cue farms not being completed in time due to this.

I have managed to get his health down to 3/5. Once. I think I need another weapon, neither the furysword nor a +5 sliver knight sword seems adequate for the job.
I haven't had this much trouble with a boss since the tauros demon, and that was before I learned to block and parry effectively. Not even the bossfight versus executioner fatman and dragonslayer speedy gave me this much trouble. They only took like eight tries and I'm pretty sure I could have made it easier for myself if I had killed speedy first instead of insisting on killing fatman. (I had heard that I would get better stuff if I killed the fat one first)

The bosses seem to be getting more difficult now. The butterfly was hilariously easy (furysword wins!) and is the only boss I've managed to kill on my first try. Everyone between the tauros and fatman-speedy was fairly easy, but the ones I've stumbled upon since have punished me for my arrogance. I happened upon the ceaseless discharge by accident earlier, and for a few seconds I thought the fight would be easy! *SPLAT* 1-hit KO.
