Following an example from USEC_OFFICER's recent LP, I tried to do a custom Repulsive/Telepathic/MIND CONTROL Klackon missile-spam run.
It was immeasurably successful(I forgot to measure it). At least, all he way until I challenged the Antarans. First attempt, all they had was a Harbinger, Intruder(? That cruiser-sized one, I think), and their Star Fortress. Missile volleys destroyed both ships, then all remaining missiles redirected towards the Fortress. After all the missiles hit, the thing had less than 50 structure points less, starting from 3600. >_<
Second attempt after savescum, I focused on the Fortress, took it out, then the missile swarm hit the Harbinger with plenty of overkill. Unfortunately, the Dauntless Guidance Sytem only redirects missiles once. After the second target is destroyed, the remaining missiles are lost. The Intruder survived. I retreat and come back next turn. Somehow the Harbinger and Star Fortress are back. The cheating bastards built two things in one turn.
Pissing off the Dark Elves without entirely knowing how violent their response would be was an entirely irresponsible thing to do. I didn't even think bows could fire that fast. If we weren't already inside a goddamn tree, those arrows would surely have blocked out the sun.
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura, using a character with maxed stuff via character editor. I had misread a guide mentioning how Virgil leaves the party after visiting the Dark Elves. I had read that you had to start a fight at the entrance to the place(by killing a lot of people inside) in order to get him to leave(which results in a good chunk of his backstory, plus meeting Joachim finally). Turns out you don't, though there's a means to trigger it if you do.
Second round with those guys, I summoned about 5 demons. Killing evil with evil.
