There need to be more games where you can blow up the sides of buildings and go inside and kill everything.

I used to say that untill Jaged Alliance 2 came along. I used explosives to breach into a building I was hearing movement in, thinking it was an ambush. It was a factory filled with child workers. I am a bad man.

'Online' after the game's title usually means it goes down from being 'fair enough' to 'steaming shit' in moments in my experience. It could be good, though, I never played it.

Battle has been going on for about two hours. In that time my units have fought off several reinforcements, had a number of good level-ups, and more than enough close calls. However, the boss of the map decided to to sit tight and wait for me to show up in order to charge instead. Caught flat-footed, I still manage to wound him heavily in an attempt to set up the killing blow for one of my weaker units.

However, all this effort is for naught, as the damn boss immediately flies over to my brand new troubador and one-shots her. WELP, TIME TO RESTART THE ENTIRE BATTLE.

Fire Emblem: Awakening. Sure, I could play on Casual and not worry about losing my units for good upon death, but where's the fun in that?

World 4 at black tendency. After killing the second reaper, I still wasn't sure where the first disappearing black ghost would appear from so I was being cautious. Didn't help me though since I got stabbed in the back again. I survived though with only a sliver of health and thought I would get revenge, that is until I saw my character go over the edge of the floor and fall to his death, all thanks to the back stab animation.

You can do something similar in X-com, but no child workers. "MOVEMENT!" *BLASTERBOMB* "Oh, it was just a shitpile of frightened civilians. That are now piles of shredded meat. My bad."

You can do something similar in X-com, but no child workers. "MOVEMENT!" *BLASTERBOMB* "Oh, it was just a shitpile of frightened civilians. That are now piles of shredded meat. My bad."

I've done that way more times than should be acceptable in most social circles.

To be fair, on outside missions, my tactics consist of, "Bomb the buildings into rubble, then beyond rubble, then search the craters with overwhelming amounts of soldiers, all using grenades on the slightest hint of movement."

Play Red Faction.  Expect that in that game it's less "Blow up sides of buildings and go inside" and more of "Crash car into building, blow it up, and run away before the EDF arrive"

Golden Sun: The Lost Age, at what I'm pretty sure is the final boss. He's certainly a massive dick like a final boss should be; he went One Winged Angel on me, and flashed the Djinn Fuckery I forgot what it's really called spell that drains all the stat and power-boosting spirits associated with all your characters (which among other things cuts their HP and defense way down,) and then Cruel Rain is the "I'm a Boss Fight Fuck Everything" doom spell.

In the same turn.

I didn't immediately die since I was able to swap out injured and downed characters for the B-listers, but eventually I lost everyone capable of reviving my party members. Time to blow my big pile of cash on some Water of Life, I suppose...

Played the hell out of that one. So much fun. There was so much sequel potential but they fucked it in the arse by turning it into a sodding ACTION GAME and adding ALIENS.

Aliens so generic that they didn't require a name.  Also a main character who can be perfectly described by the word "doofus".  My brother bought it and I watched him play through it
