A grenade blew me out the window and into the swirling bottomless pit of gas that is the surface of Bespin. I died this way three times before I finally re-learned to stay away from the windows and the edges of the platforms.

Star Wars: Battlefront. Bespin: Platforms is my probably my second-favorite map of any shooter ever (the first being Halo's Blood Gulch for multiplayer and Perfect Dark's dataDyne: Extraction for single-player).
I remember that map. One of my favourite maps for playing with friends because it's pretty open.
Pretty much the only map in that game for good fighter battles.

The only thing I don't like about that map is how the battle in the sky has almost no bearing on the fight down below, unless the AI thinks to land a fighter at one of the command posts you own. It'd add a nice bit of excitement to the game if you had to worry about photon torpedoes blowing everybody to hell with no warning :)

So many times... I feel your pain.

Attempting to jump from the top balcony of the College of Winterhold (where the doors to the Arch-Mage's Quarters and Arcaneum are) to the lower balcony (where the doors to the Halls of Attainment and Countenance are), hoping I could abuse the geometry of the building to slow my descent and avoid hitting terminal velocity.

Right. So I'm driving down the wooded road in my car full of loot when I come across a turn. A horrid combination of fumbling with my controls, waiting a bit too long to slow down/start turning, and going 50 MPH made me go into the trees, enter a skid, break my other front wheel, and finally skid to a stop in the middle of a trap field, the left and front of my car surrounded with piles of dirt I threw up in the process. Since both my front wheels are busted, I can't drive anymore. I climb over the chairs and open my trunk, pull out the welder, and go to fix a wheel when I see spiders coming from behind.

Since I had nothing but one level in firearms, a SCAR, two LAWs and one grenade launcher, I decided to book it. Climb out the front of my car and run into the dirt... Which turned out to not be a pile from a skid after all, but actually a landmine. I took severe damage and went up to 20 pain but I was still alive. Take another step... Another goddamn landmine. Dead. I was doing pretty well, too. :(

On Geonosis, the CIS starts with a command post called The Spire under their control. The Spire has a huge window in it, big enough for some vehicles to fit through. I thought it'd be a good idea to load up a gunship to maximum capacity and try to send it through the window, taking the enemy by surprise. Turns out the window wasn't big enough.

Star Wars: Battlefront again.

Thought that Greenland and Iceland would finish getting fully infected while I unleashed armageddon with my bioweapon. They didn't, and I killed all the infected people, and only the healthy people there remained.

I think that window is just for the Geonosian fighters. Unless there's a different window that I don't remember.

Yeah, it's like Pandemic. Madagascar is much easier to kill.

The window is for the Geonosian fighters, but it's very wide and looks big enough to fit the gunship at first glance. The fighters were absent when I tried to take the gunship in.

Also, I fired a rocket and my teammate ran in front of me, detonating the rocket and killing about seven of our fellow teammates. Especially infuriating since that rocket was aimed at a turret that had been keeping us from advancing to the next command post all match.

SW: Battlefront, yet again.

Ah, Bethesdabseiling.

Yeah, that works in pretty much any Gamebryo game, easing yourself down by colliding with pointy geometry.

Not me personally (I got downed later in the next mission) but the guy in this fighter certainly should* have died:

That's my usual way of descending from mountains. My method of ascending involves mashing jump and maneuvering until I find a piece of point geometry that I can jump up from.

Last death: Same as Reudh's, but off of the Throat of the World. It took a while for my body to land.

Yep. One time, I started the death after I infected every country but not every person... I lost the game after everyone died except one uninfected person in Australia.

Is it overkill to be sliced in half and burnt to death at the same time?
