I had assembled a decent looking force of a super heavy
Elephant tank with elite
Emperor's Own infantry and
Imperial Pioneers for support. Leading them was a skilled general who was responsible for some advanced training beefing up my already potent infantry forces. My scouting efforts indicated the enemy HQ to be lightly defended, so I rushed most of my forces to the front, leaving only a hi-tech
Vengeance class mecha behind to protect my homefront.
Once my army reached the Mutants' HQ, I opted to siege the defenders. Big mistake. Shortly after my decision, a large mutant strike force attacked. The fight was fierce, and though I lost all of my units and the general was taken captive, I had severely weakened their HQ. Deciding to gamble on the mutual loss of forces, I mobilized
Vengeance and had it storm the Mutant capital before they could recoup their losses. They didn't stand a chance.
With Mutant threat gone, my crack general back in charge and a new army built around the superb mecha unit, it hit me. Who did I leave back home to defend my HQ?
Well apparently no-one since the squidfaced Xenopods made it there and razed my glorious palace to the ground while my fighting force was halfway across the map.

Armageddon EmpiresThreeway Empire of Man vs. Free Mutants vs. Xenopods on normal map.
I'm still learning, that was my second finished game. I see some nice potential here, especially once I start building my own decks.
