The snipers in Carrington Villa do not mess around. If it weren't for their funky purple body armor and predetermined spawn areas, I would have died even more than ten times in as many attempts.

Perfect Dark. Trying to beat as many levels as I can on Perfect Agent in preparation for a lets-play which may or may not ever materialize, and also for my own enjoyment because I bloody love Perfect Dark.

Project Zomboid

The mission requires me to repair a disabled corvette and bring it back to base, with an effective time limit due to an enemy destroyer coming to kill it. I repair the ship just as the destroyer shows up on scanners.

The corvette then banzai-charges the destroyer, overriding the order I gave it to run the hell the way from it I might add.

Still on Carrington Villa, I attempted to complete the objectives in a different order, turning on the wind generator and then moving up through the villa. However, once I turned on the wind generator, objective 3 suddenly activated: Locate and eliminate dataDyne hackers. I was disoriented from doing the objectives in a weird order, so I completely forgot where the villa's three terminals were. I find the last one and shoot him, but he somehow uploaded vital data even though he wasn't even at the keyboard when the counter ran out.

Perfect Dark, natch.

I had one of my men clear the first floor of a two-story residential building, he shot a soldier and found a couple of civilians. He ignored the civilians and took overwatch position by the window. Some turns later he's gunned down by an unseen foe. I go there to investigate only to find one of the civilians next to his body. In my moment of hesitation, the bastard sprayed my face full of lead.

Didn't know that civilians could pick up weapons and start shooting my guys. Despite the fact that they had a red circle just like the regular enemy soldiers had, I hesitated to shoot what I considered to be innocent bystanders. Darn ethics.
