I was walking down the arrival hallway on patrol when I found corpses. I searched them and one had an energy sword, so I took it in order to turn it over to security. As I continued patrolling, a monkey came up armed with a gun and threw a paper at me so I read it. It said if I didn't arm the nuke and call the shuttle, it would kill me. Being a human, with my swift legs, I ran like hell. Cue me stalking this monkey and trying to kill it for the rest of the round. I walked by the vault when I found a human named "monkey *numbers*" and I thought it was braindead or something, but I saw the Captain's spare ID on the floor so I ran in and nabbed it. I went to the armory, loaded up with weapons, grabbed a portable flasher, and went to the escape hallway and set up the flasher. I dragged over an oxygen locker and climbed in, then shut the door. The shuttle had been called by now, so some people were showing up. There were three people there, not many were left alive at this point.

When the shuttle finally got there, I suddenly see a naked human named "monkey *numbers*" get flashed. Knowing who it was, I charge and tase it, then start unloading my energy gun set to kill on it. It suddenly turns back into a monkey and grabs a weapon, I tase it again, unload my gun again... It's suddenly healed, and gets back up. Continue this among other maneuvers (including a lot of vicious stabbing with my e-sword) for three minutes, when the shuttle left. I did it! I stalled it long enough and it couldn't get on board! It spaces itself, I take out my sword, turn it on, stand in a puddle of blood, scream "PRAISE ARMOK!" and impale myself on it with the "suicide" command.

Space Station 13

I had a butcher's cleaver all ready for that monkey, too. Was kinda anticlimactic when you managed to floor him just before he got onto the shuttle.

The last three deaths saw me wandering in circles in Jabu-Jabu's Belly, looking for any indication of what I was supposed to do and how to do it without dropping Ruto. Eventually killed by jellyfish each time.

Oh man, when I got the game when it first came out, I was dead stuck where you were for 3 days. Finally came to me one night as I was falling asleep. If you want the answer, see the spoiler below:

If you're stuck where I was, you need to get Ruto to the room with her saphire in it on the raised platform, then throw her up there. Not sure why it took days for it to occur to me.

I used a walkthrough, and as usual it was something obvious and stupid. There was a platform where I was supposed to throw Ruto, and then make my way over to her. I thought I couldn't throw her that far, so I never tried it until I read the walkthrough.

Also, Redeads are tough. I tried fighting every one in Castle Town, and didn't make it.

Rolled a HuFe, immediately picked up a 3/1 dwarven dagger of distortion on the first floor of the dungeon as well as a ring of invisibility, and since I was too scared to put down the dagger (lest I be warped to the Abyss) I instead dumped all my skill points into being an assassin who set fires. Worked quite well, actually, until I upended a bucket of poisonous spiders on my head right as an orc patrol passed by, and a centaur came to see what all the ruckus was about. The stairs were very far away, and I had no scrolls of teleport or blink or healing items of any kind- the only thing that would have saved me would be the unidentified scroll of immolation my death screen informed me of.

Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup

Just researched my first and was excited to take it for a spin, when not even 10-15 seconds into the round, "Sir! Our engines have been hit.! We're sitting ducks out here." FFFfffuuu! Cue 3 or so other tanks firing on me at the same time.

Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money

Oh God, I hated that expansion pack!
So much frustration... So many deaths to the damn environment... Enemies who I actually had to  run from... And of course I overwrote my save upon entry, thinking "oh yeah, this shouldn't take too long, then I can get back to doing X".

Cue me having to struggle my way through the entire thing, spending half/most of it wounded, crippled and seconds from death. Oh man, I'm pretty sure I was shouting at the screen in parts... I guess, looking at it objectively the questline was probably good for keeping me on my toes, since I had been breezing through everything with my dopey barbarian of a character.

As for my death, well. I haven't had time to die yet today, gimme a chance!

ME?  Highly perceptive medic with medium range weapons (more recently I used lazors, but earlier guys were traditional weaponeers).

Bashed a grate which turned out to be electrified. My Budget Insulated Gloves turned out to be budget conducting gloves, and I was immediately knocked unconscious and to critical health, from full. Died of my injuries without anyone noticing, despite being right next to a corridor which is usually quite busy

I broke the wrong block and cave spiders poured into my tunnel. I couldn't get them away for long enough to close the gap.

Minecraft- specifically, Vechs' Super Hostile #12: Inferno Mines

Got mobbed by zombies. My first survivor who did pretty well, I found a sledgehammer that let me survive some nasty zombie encounters by hiding in small bathrooms/storerooms and forcing the mobs to attack me one by one in the chokepoint.

My undoing was spending too much time reading at the library and having to run from house to house avoiding zombie hordes. Ultimately my last gambit in a gunstore failed due to there being no good chokepoint and getting surrounded by local undeath. I failed to survive a whole day, but at least my guy died listening to some rockin' music on his mp3 player.
