More of an -almost death- but by all rights I SHOULDN'T have survived.

My Sniper, Landschnekt, Dancer, Fortress... they had all been slain by a FOE above my level (Bounding Beast). I fought and fought with my last survivng member, as each of us had roughly the same amount of HP...

My Medic took out the Bounding Beast against all odds with no attack skills, no TP, and not enough HP to survive an attack. By some miracle she dodges it's attack and kills it.

I thought I was a goner, but I managed it. Of course, there were plenty of FOEs that killed me before, including those kangaroo bastards.

Erolcha cast me into the Abyss. From there, I was surrounded by rakshasas, large abominations, and smoke demons.

Climbed a tower that only let me use magic. At least two types of enemies have a permanent Reflect spell, that cannot be Dispelled, one of whom has a crapton of hitpoints, no weakness, immune Death, Gravity, and that spell that banishes, and casts endgame-level spells. Most of the rest cast powerful attack spells, and often counterattack with Silence spells.

I get to the top of the tower, going through a good stock of MP recovery items, and find an accessory that allows casting two spells at once. Huzzah. Try to leave, and fight the boss. This boss is immune to everything but one elemental damage type(to which he is weak), but he changes his weakness every time he is hit with a spell, including Libra(which informs you if his current weakness, but then changes it. Quantum mechanics, eh?), and some of the elements he can become weak to are impossible to actually cast on him.

After savescumming like hell(using Libra to get his weakness, then reverting and using a spell that hurts him), I finally kill him. Turns out, on death he casts a spell that hits my entire party for more than twice their maximum hitpoints, killing them all without any way to stop it.

Option 1: Overlevel. More health + more magic res = capable of surviving Ultima!

Option 2: Reraise, or whatever it's called that time around. I'm pretty sure there's also a Jump skill available... somehow, and that'd dodge Ultima happily.

Option 3, for nut-jobs: There's one weapon in the game that drains mana on hit. Equip it to someone, then Berserk them, and they can (and will) attack in the tower. Equip a second ally with the weapon that heals when you attack, and Berserk them as well (so the first guy doesn't kill the boss by accident). Reflect everyone, so they're immune to the boss. Leave the game on overnight, letting Berserk automatically attack, and you'll return to find the boss at 0 mana (he has ~50,000, so draining it via Rasp isn't really viable  :P ). Then kill him. He can't cast Ultima with no MP.

I'm posting this mainly because I find option 3 absolutely hilarious, and because some people (low-level runners in particular) actually use it:o

I'm pretty sure I used Osmose (and probably Rasp) to whittle down his MP.  I'd been using the hell out of Osmose anyway, because I had no idea how tall the tower was and ethers are expensive dammit.  It basically steals however much MP is needed to refill the caster's, so it's often much stronger than Rasp, and gives you a reason to sling exorbitantly expensive spells around.  I don't think I had reraise yet.  I do think I used save-states for his elemental weaknesses.

Last death... I was wrapping up some trivial quests in the Caustic Caverns waiting for my party to rejoin me.  Everything was 5 levels below me, and I had just gained a sizeable aura of poison and fire that recharges every time I kill.  Enemies charged at me, enemies died, I didn't have to do anything.

Then suddenly a ridiculously large tentacle-beast made of liquid fire bursts out of the ground under me, flinging me back.  I attack it with two different flame weapons before I manage to find my outdated corrosive smg.  Unfortunately I'm just too slow, and I bleed out.

I got hit by a bomb for the first time since I actually started playing Battlefront. I think I was the only one caught in the blast, too.

Not really a death, but if I had a medical license, I'd lose it. But I can't lose what I don't have, so...

Started the heart transplant operation, first removing(shattering) the patients ribcage with a hammer, somehow causing the loss of just over 1/6th of the patient's blood in the process. Used the claw end of the hammer to remove the patient's lungs. Damn things always get in the way...
Accidentally jammed several scalpels into various spots of the patient's chest cavity while trying to remove the defective heart, along with an electic circular saw which was stuck in the ON position by a piece of tissue that was probably better off left inside the patient. The patient then expired of blood loss. Total time was a little over 6 minutes.

The next attempt was much more successful, however. This time, I removed the patient's ribs using a hack saw, which, because of(or despite) several intonements to Jesus Christ, resulted in no blood loss. The lungs were also removed via hack saw. Took a more precise method of using a scalpel(ie, not using the patient's chest cavity as a dartboard), severing several major blood vessels without problem. Tried to wrench the heart out by hand, but it was stuck fast. Began (aggressively) probing the patient's heart (with a scalpel) before finally extricating it and tossing it aside. Spent the next 30 seconds fumbing with the box containing the replacement, before tossing it in, mission accomplished.

Got an A++ rating for my work, meaning I am the best transplant surgeon in the world that is covered by the patient's insurance policy.
Unfortunately, I also lost my radio inside the patient as well, not sure how that happened.

So there's a mod for Skyrim called Frostfall, that adds in winter survival elements. You know, cold weather, exposure, icy water is dangerous, etc. And there's also a mod that gives you a choice of alternate starting locations! It's quite fun; one of them is a shipwreck.

Absolutely do not activate Frostfall before choosing the shipwreck start.

I learned, today.

Testing mod to see if Master Sword is as effective on Ganondorf as it should be.

Still haven't gotten a chance to, since the bastard refuses to get hit.

Turns out, giant cave spider wrestling doesn't typically work out very well, even for amphibious four-armed fire breathing dwarves.

I love wrestling in DF.  I just wish dwarves and humans weren't so hampered by their strength limits.  Not to mention their small size when compared to practically any non-humanoid enemy.

I had a civilian dwarf wrestle a GCS to death just fine. I guess I got lucky?
