Darius I unified his continent slightly faster than I did mine (my 2).  He then proceded to crapstack my vassals while I was off messing with the new world.  It was a good fight, but I knew I was on the losing end.  I would push them back and begin a counterassault but every time a new wave from some relatively intact vassal of his arrived to ruin it.  I lost an engine away from launch.

I was hurling lightning at some players in PvP, and after winning quite handedly a catbear decided that I wasn't quite dead enough for it's lightning.

I got rolled over armadillo-style by a crocodile-mouthed catbear.

I was walking trough this hallway, I had enough ammo and a decent gun, I reach for the door and I see a turret. As I come closer to it so I can shoot it down a tazerbot appears! I desperately shoot three times and kill it. Thinking I was safe I go and dispatch the turret just to be ambushed by a tazerbot which forces me to empty my whole magazine trying to shoot it down (bad aim and bad luck). I run out of ammo and I try to run away. I kinda did. I ran away three steps before getting tazed.

A giant mech bombarding me with sky lasers from above while armor plated mutons shot my face off.

I had bought a motorcycle from the light vehicle building the AI commander so kindly built, kicked off the driver, got in the driver's seat and told him to get on back. I stormed across 1500 of the 1900 meters to the target city and was riding across a big open field when I look to my right to check for hostiles and promptly ate a missile for lunch.

The mission was simple: get in, destroy the reactor, get out.
It's never simple.
I tried to go in stealthily, but the crewmen noticed me almost immediately, and sounded the alarm. Then the robots started pouring in. Oh god the robots.
Having encountered three different kinds of robot I'd never fought before, I ran, but was soon shockwaved into a corner and killed.

Read a scroll. It summoned a bunch of tough monsters I couldn't deal with all around me. I threw a potion of incineration on the floor, lighting us all on fire. It only made the situation worse. I drank my only unidentified potion in a desperate attempt to save myself. It paralyzed us all as we burned to death.
