Personally, I wouldn't go after WoF without serious prep. I'm talking a nice long bridge over the lava (demolishing hell houses as you go if required), gathering whatever buffing potions you need, and most importantly doing something to secure your safety once hard mode activates.

But that's just me, and I tend to overthink some things :P

Yeah, I should probably go for the King Slime first, if I can make him show up. I also tend to play as a hoarder (everything that might be useful goes into one of the many chests I have in my underground vault, so my inventory stays clear so I can pick up new things XD) so I might have some stuff squirreled away for WoF. Assuming I didn't sell it so I could afford the minishark. >.>;

EDIT: Y U NO TELL ME IT WAS SO BIG AND FAST AND CAN TANK LIKE 700 BULLETS AND HAS LIKE FIFTY MINIONS щ(ﾟДﾟщ)

Nah, I'm just playing. I didn't think it was going to go quite like it did, though... I'm going to have to extend my bridge by like... double... maybe triple... and bring more than 5 healing potions.

My squad got its ass kicked all up and down the sea floor. The map was so huge that one Aquatoid literally killed all but one of my soldiers. I found him after 8 minutes of searching.

I've been playing terraria again, got myself demonite armor, and tools/weapon.
Killed all the pre-hard move bosses. Everything is so easy with Vilethorn and a Flintlock Pistol!
Rolling a Demonite Bow now, thinking of moving onto a floating island and killing WoF. I came back to the game after a few months to so much new stuff.
Anyway, maybe ill go for that sword that takes like, 4 hard to get swords to make... I forgot it's name.
I need to get rocket boots first, though. And the Ivy Whip.
Maybe i'll just like, get a Handgun and make a Pheonix Blaster, or whatever that mega good handgun is called.
I forgot so much stuff, holy crap.

I was in an enemy camp, picking off people with the bow. I shot someone in the face from afar, and heard a weird noise. I figured I was a death scream or someone noticing the guy get shot. I waited for about 30 seconds and nothing happened. I turned to my right and was greeted by a GIGANTIC TIGER. I ran as fast as I could go, but the tiger managed to scratch me twice. I jumped into a river, where I was attacked and killed by a crocodile.

Alright, 7 countries have cut funding. One more and I lose.

After a large number of Mutons and three Sectoid Commanders murdered my two Colonels, three Majors, and Captain.

After the upgraded Floaters murdered the next squad of rookies that I started training.

After more Mutons and Commanders murdered the squad and two SHIVs I sent after that.

Four rookies left. One with a light plasma rifle, three with laser rifles, all with Carapace Armor. Titan Armor is available, but I don't have the alloys.

TERROR MISSION

I move my first soldier up. He sees three chryssalids, two upgraded floaters, two repair drones...and a Sectopod.

All or nothing.

After my soldiers shoot the Sectopod, dealing a grand total of 9ish damage, it shoots back and immediately and instantaneously murders two of my four soldiers.

Chryssalids and floaters murder civilians.

One of my soldiers panic, and runs out into a different location. The sectopod shoots him, he dies.

Turn 2: My last soldier, in one futile effort, shoots at the Sectopod again. Miss.

Alien Activity. The repair drones have fully repaired the Sectopod, which amazingly enough misses. However, a floater hits, dropping the soldier to 1 HP. I move, to prevent the floater from flanking me. Shoot at a Chryssalid, killing it.

Turn 3, Alien Activity: The Sectopod fires, and misses. The floaters fire, and miss. A repair drone moves up, fires, and hits.

Game Over.

Playing Minecraft Tekkit Hardcore

Finally found some diamonds and started setting plans to head to the neither for some glow stone. As I enter I see an easy reach bundle not far from the portal. I hurry over not planning on staying long. gather it with little problems and turn around...

Somehow lava had appeared above the portal and now encased it in first death and zombie pigmen were milling around it. I move forward to attepmt to escape when I bump into a Pigman. Apparently now that's all they need to get roudy. 10 plus zo,bike pig men charge me...

I made the mistake of using a Fat Man on a Super Mutant Behemoth at point-blank range. >_<

A pack of ice wolves scared my loyal horse away as I was picking plants on the side of the road on my way to Windhelm. I died after a couple of nips thinking I could outrun them right as my horse came into view.

Ship started catching on fire in close orbit around a star. Intruders did not help matters any.

Once the medbay went, I was screwed.
