Had a goblin siege early on (pop 40 or so), due to starting with everything I needed to make steel, as well as native gold, available from the get-go. Lost a couple of Dorfs, no big deal, right? Well, turns out, it was a big deal. There was a necromancer somewhere around, and those couple of dorfs turned my whole fort into a shambling mess in a matter of minutes. No one survived.

New rocket in the new version. I felt rather confident about it getting to the Mun and back, before I started aiming for other planets. I now realise that 4 giant solid boosters AND the most powerful liquid booster in the game was probably a bit too much force on the first stage.
As soon as I activated the first stage the rocket blew up on the pad, collapsing in on itself after the demand for such acceleration.

Disrespected the Boss' physical AOE move, Feather Shot, because it barely scratched my buffed party - then the buffs ran out, the boss moved first and dispatched the underleveled Hexer crucial for boss containment and, after two turns, everyone else.

'How my enemies last die', a slight offtopic:

I staged a battle beftween Klingons (me) and Federation (AI).

The battle lasted five minutes because I scored some heavy hits on their warp nacelles and their power went down. Then I left this one alone:



What you can see on the picture is a Miranda-class starship, left without power generators, and with life support and sickbay blown away during transporter raids.

The battle lasted 5 minutes.
Crew was suffocating for 25 more.

Had a good game going, my ship armed with a decent ion weapon that was enough to cripple most enemies'  shield and weapons and halbert beam for causing damage once their shields are down. Then, one enemy that should have been easy just happened to dodge almost all the ion shots. They quickly crippled my ship with boarding drones and missiles, making my shields useless and the damages too difficult to repair.

Spawn beacons were set up, and because spawn beacons are better then jumping off the bridge that the nearest spawn (sunderer) is on, i used it.
Saw a enemy tank within my plausible landing range, so i nagged my (nigh uncontrollable) drop-pod to the tank and landed on it, expecting a spectacular exploding tank and me emering as a hero.
Not so much, i instantly died.

I accidentally got into an accidental fistfight after my horse trampled someone while at full speed. Then I accidentally aimed the cursor at another guy, got into an accidental 2-to-1 fistfight. I pulled out a gun to scare them away, but only one ran away. The other, and a bystander pulled out guns and shot me numerous times in the back.
