Try to avoid pain. When you know that a process is painful, try to avoid it. You'll want to avoid surgery without anaesthetics, and torture will be a good way to force you to do something. Not considering pain at all in your decisions is a failure in assuming the role of your character, and can get you banned in the long run.

This means that if a serious threat is made to your character's life, you should roleplay out panic. Similarly, if you become a hostage, you shouldn't take it lightly, and you shouldn't make attempts to escape unless there's an opportunity that won't get you killed.

Anyways, I picked up Shore of Hazeron, and wow.
I started up a town near some little critters, thinking them the safest bet around. NOPE.

Start developing guns ASAP. Even a TL1 rifle has double the power of your starting knife and has good range. You don't really need high-end techs either; farms for hay, use the hay to create fertilizer, use fertilizer to create nitric acid and use that to make gunpower along with minerals and coal. Presumably by this point you have access to metal, so use that to produce your ammunition and guns.

I was scouting Astracarn, I was spotted by one of their guys who came out to investigate, so I jumped down off my tree and burrowed like a molerat. He found me anyway, dug into my tunnel and was standing between the exit and I. He had a diamond sword and iron armour, I had an enchanted bow and 10 arrows. Needless to say, I didn't trust him for a second to let me go, so I loosed a few arrows at him and died.

Actually, i gotta disagree with Ultra here. The Engineer was out of line both IC and OOC by interfering with the boxing match.


As for what Xeron was banned for, i agree that the ban was justified. "Fuck off you fag" was extreme uncalled-for, even in that situation.

Got stung to death by a giant wasp. Only after I realized I had my companion to "Fight only if your life depends on it" did I change that to "Kill enemies that get too close" and it killed me AFTER my companion managed to pistol-whip it to death, finally. Nice fuckin' timing, stupid AI!!

Fighting the Great Grey Wolf Sif without a shield. My first attempted ended because of input delay.
The second one, I was doing good. Had the giant wolf down to about half, doing a small amount of damage every strike.
Then, he did his jump-away-slash move and I rolled a second too late and was one-hit by it. Maybe I should level a bit before trying again...
