Shot to death by a Vulture squad armed with cone rifles after the demopack I lobbed at them failed to detonate. I still managed to successfully [REDACTED] before they got me, though, so it wasn't all bad.

Almost got smited by a extreme long range planet buster laser that was aimed at an ally battleship beside me.  Changed my heading to avoid it but ended up running into a fighter sized kamikaze ship.  It blew up taking a small chunk off of my cruiser,  but the shockwave pushed my ship into the big lazer.

Fortunately the laser cut off to recharge before my ship's core ate it, but it tore through a large chunk of my ship like it wasn't even there first.  The ship suffered a massive systems failure from all the lost sections and I got wrecked by an enemy battleship that sniped out my ship's now exposed core with some shock beamers before I could maneuver my pretty damn crippled one thruster remaining hunk of scrap metal away from it.

There are FAR too many mage multiclasses in BGII, Imoen can easily be exchanged for Nalia.
She's less annoying/creepy/unrealistically pink. You can get her almost immediately after leaving the first dungeon.

Also, yoshimo/PLAYERCHAR > both as far as thieving goes, but Yoshimo

I remember that. Playing Donkey Kong Country in early 2009 when we got a minor earthquake (sounded like a huge truck coming past, but the windows rattled) and I leapt up, causing DK to get hit by a Zinger and die.

Nalia? Not annoying? Easily my least favourite character from BG2. Out of my (admittedly too many) playthroughs, I had her exactly once. Simply to get her personal quest started (which I cheatstarted with console commands to get it faster).

My first day back on Bay12, and I come straight here.

In other news, I cleared the entire Dwarven ruin Radbth-something while sneaking and firing off arrows, and I finally get to a nice empty hall and stairway. I got passed those helicopter blade traps easily and am calmly walking down a stairway before I hear a click-BOOM. Game over. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-

Skyrim of course.

Had a peasant go on an adventure, climbing the ranks in the eyes of the nobility, honing his skills time after time, including his hate for Kobolds. When the time came, said peasant chose to assault a kobold cave camp. He bravely took down the first three dozen, was swarmed, easily parried and counterstruck, and then unluckily chose to dodge off a cliff.

A 4 z-level brookside cliff.

Followed by another round of 'get up', try to limp away...

Got stabbed.
