Tidal wave swept across my city and destroyed my Palace when I was defending my city from 2nd siege. Red screen, game over.

Similar death to somebody else's, but not quite.

"That's odd, my last character died when this gas station went up, but it's still here.  I wonder why.   Oh well I guess I'll just collect what's left of my last guy's stuff then."
*You hear an explosion from the north*
"Oh shit"

Was chasing a guy around with my shotgun till he was mostly dead when he suddenly ducked into an underpass.  I ran after him and saw him standing still just staring at me.  I got ready to place the final shot when suddenly he exploded, taking me with him.  (turned out he was holding an unpinned grenade).   :o
