I...failed to defend my leader against trolls, cornered them using elven champions but then the RNG decided that they would practice swinging their blades at air while the trolls look on, scared. Then they beat them up with gigantic hammers, that hit both times. Killing my bodyguard and then my leader.

Decided that if the AI can declare "Fuck it I call game over" I could too. So I went and built a Mk. III Nuke and launched it. This destroyed every planet and resource in the galaxy, as well as most of the ships, and gave the AI 5,000 progress. I then remembered that the AI doesnt need resources to build its ships.

I've NEVER made it through Deathclaw territory in NV, and I've beaten the game with ballistics, energy, and melee characters. :\ I mean they were killable in FO:3 but in NV they will rip you apart effortlessly. But yeah, like Tellemurius said, follow the road south and take the long way around to the southern edge of the map, then east, then north up into Novac and from there you can get to New Vegas.

On topic, I keep touching these damn aliens and exploding in Robot Wants Kitty.

You can run past them with a bit of luck. If not, snipe them with a hunting rifle and AP ammo.

Before I ever go around if I can kill them. I always play a long-range stealth character so I can snipe them with a rifle or assault rifle from afar, lob a few grenades if they survive. I usually kill the young one when I find it, then sneak into the mine area and kill 2-3 of them before hauling ass. I usually encounter a handful more of them, but with stealth and care I can get past them all.

More on topic, its not really a death but its still manages to raise goosebumps. I'm designing Primordials for my scifi novel series' new story and my RP I'm running *points to Hyperion in sig*, and I do so love me some Lovecraft... So, I'm making some immortal otherworldly beings Lovecraft would be proud of.

Behold, two of the reasons why I have the tendency to type horror-scifi stories in the wee hours of the night rather than sleep. Sleep? What's sleep? If I sleep the monsters will get me...

The Devourer of Light, He Who Descends To The Abyss, He Who Shines With The Light of A Thousand Worlds, The End That Lies Beyond

An irridescent crystal being said to bring the end of each universe by consuming all light within. Its crystalline shell is ever-changing, rearranging itself into indescribably complex 3-dimensional shapes. It is said to drink the light from a mortal's eyes before destroying the creature's world to erase itself from all living memory.

Should mortal man look upon its irridescent surface they would see the silhouette of every world Ksoth'fgthn has in darkness consumed. Ksoth'fgthn has no choice but to erase the light from mortal eyes so that none may know The End That Lies Beyond.

Phgrnath / Pr. Fuh-Gore-Nath / Phage-Ro-Nath

He That Watches, The Unblinking Gatekeeper, The Thousand Burning Eyes, The Hollow Watchman of Coming Doom

Phgrnath is said to be a hollow Oak-like tree covered in a thousand red eyes that towers above the highest of mountains. It is said to watch over the multiverse so that its followers may record which have ceased to shine. It marks each dead or warring dimension that all Primordials may know which are lost to Ksoth'fgthn and which require Primordial intervention. The followers of Phgrnath are vampyric satyrs that must drink its blood-red sap once every ten-thousand years, rendering it temporarily blind to the chaos of the multiverse. The more clever Primordials use the opportunity to wreak havoc across the multiverse, but Phgrnath's fury is vehement. Phgrnath's twisted roots are said to draw sustenance from the corpses of a grotesque coagulated mush formed by the limbs and bodies of a thousand decaying immortals who defied Phgrnath during its blindness. An arrow formed from its branch or poison from its bark is rumored to kill immortals and even Primordial beings, while its blood-sap is an extremely-addicting elixir of immortality.

Primordial Interaction With Mortals:

Morality is nonexistent in Primordium and apathy towards mortals is nearly a matter of principle. At best we're as interesting as tiny ants; impossibly short lifespans fitting of a pest they need not even crush. We exist solely for their pleasure, nothing more. At worst, well, we're a blasphemous stain upon the fabric of reality deserving of subjugation or absolute annihilation. It is only by the hand of those who wish to observe and enslave us that we are temporarily exempt from extinction.
