I was trying to restore my reputation with the Boron people from 'dirty assassin' to 'neutral' by defending their bases from pirates, when suddenly a group of bounty hunters warps in. Apparently, the Boron government still had 50.000 creds on my head. My ship couldn't outrun them, let alone their state-of-the-art banshee missiles. I managed to kill two of them though.

This post got me back to playing X2, and luckily I have a new death.

I was doing some trading runs in my personal Dolphin when I jumped into Paranid space. I don't remember, but I think I took my war fleet (consisting of 5 M1's, 5 M2's, and a shit ton of M3-5's) and pissed them off. Of course, I jumped out and had a few stragglers chase me, took out my escorts and preceded to go through my shields.

I always just used explosives. Rocket/grenade beats everything soft.

Anyway, was playing UFO: Alien Invasion, and I got 2 fighters flying over while my only dropship was away on a mission. I shot one down, but the other one's still flying around and my only fighter's out of ammo. I'm probably going to have to load an old save for this one.

I was using the engineer's shotgun. Instant kill from close range, and reloads much faster than a rocket launcher or grenade.

Ontopic: Got annihilated by one of Abyss' special moves. He summons a clone of himself which acts indepentently and takes a ton of damage to kill.

When advancing forward to destroy the damned British HQ, my Flak 88s thought it was a good idea to shoot down a plane flying towards my infantry.


Long story short, a Hawker Hurricane/Supermarine Spitfighter got shot down, and proceeded to crush a few squads of veteran Panzer Grenadiers.

CSS raided one of my safehouses, and killed all three unarmed members in the safehouses.

Enraged, I sent my founder and my 2 remaining non-sleepers and attacked with 2 SMGs, an AR-15, and bodyarmor for all.

NATURALLY my guys pay no attention to the guy with the gun (I believe it was a goddamn PISTOL) and their body armor was COMPLETELY USELESS.

Oh, and of course, I forgot, they stop firing on the first round they get hit despite them being in a fight for their life.

Goddammit. >_>

*Sigh* On retrospect maybe I should've brought my sleeper Mercenary who had some ACTUAL COMBAT EXPERIENCE LULZ I'M A DOLT.

I got stuck in a rapidly degrading war with Iran after they threatened my allies. I contacted the Secretary of Defence and commanded him to launch a single nuke into the country. After doing so, a lynch group was outside my house. I was shot to death less than a day after the nuking.

After a coup de'tat attempt, a black plane was shot down. Many of the documents were damaged, but enough of them were intact. After reading them I found that the rebels were CIA funded.. The USA contacted me, saying that they will not stand for a Communist state being so close to them. More soldiers came in, surrounding me. Eventually, I was viewing the battle from the floor, mortally wounded.

Game's Hidden Agenda. It's a pretty good game.

After a 4-hour long gameplay on a fresh world, with a friend. We explored a huge cave, only to die when we both felt in a hole full of mobs.

We were playing on hardcore mode.
Losing is fun!

Was finishing a 5 point patrol in a remote system occupied by Kilrathi, and just jumped to my last warp.

Unfortunately... 3 Retro Talons were at this jump point. I took out one of them with my last two missiles, then dived into an intense dogfight with the other two. Eventually one of them got onto my tail and hammered through my armor, taking out my maneuvering thrusters... and I had nothing to do but wait to be destroyed. Within ten seconds, they had wasted my crippled ship and I exploded with it. :(

Nope. Blew up on the spot.

Didn't help that I had TWO BACKPACKS OF GUNPOWDER AND A DWARVEN MUSTARD GAS GRENADE. I even managed to kill the (VERY nice but a goddamn killsteal) angel that Cruentus gave me. That must have been a pretty goddamn powerful explosion.

HERP DERP DERP DERPY DERP. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRP.

Urgh, the amount of DERP I feel right now cannot even be expressed. ;D

I go to the junkyard to start scavenging the parts I will need in the near future, for creating my ATV, and suddenly 3 enemies that are 4 higher than I am (and 7 higher than the "recommended" quest level) spawn on top of me. I kill them fairly easily, but with a low health to end it with. Then it happens again.
