Mein Panzer Grouppen got burned alive in their own tanks by Amerikaner flamethrowers. They proceeded to steal said tanks and break our defenses in half.

AFTER MANY PEOPLE ASKING WHAT GAME YOU ARE ON ABOUT IN THIS THREAD I HAVE MADE IT MANDATORY FOR YOU TO TELL US IN YOUR POST. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOU GETTING METEOR SWARM'D
TO DEATH.
Seriously guys, just spoiler it or something.
(Repeat offenders shall be called names.)
For those that do not have the intellectual capacity to read the rules of this thread I have re-posted them above in a pretty red colour that should hopefully grab your attention long enough for them to sink in. That said, My latest death was caused by a toolbox to the head while wandering around in Space Station 13.

Bug in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl caused a pack of psuedo dogs to spawn on top of me while changing areas, followed by 2 groups of bandits to spawn, one of which was behind the travel point and unreachable. Needed some serious fighting to get out of that one.

Wearing platemail and zweihander and trying to balance on a foot-wide beam a hundred feet of the ground while giant axes swing back and forth across my path... then hit in the back by a lightning bolt thrown by some lizard dude.

We get our first ever assignment, a green squad with a green commander (me). Should be easy enough, two machine gunners, two heavys, and a sniper, split into two squads. First squad of two wanders around the first floor of the warehouse, while the second squad figures out how to use one of the elevators, and heads up to the next floor (took a while to figure out I just needed to tell them to move to the top. At the top, they see 2 big blue things, and 4 or 5 small brown guys. using what move they have left, I pop of a few shots at the big guys, figuring the little guys can't hurt much, right? Right?? Anyways, miss them all, and next turn all of 2nd squad is wiped out, and first squad flees like pansies.

That's the main reason I play on Real-time. Brainsuckers catching guys with no TU. That, and some enemies take a lot of shooting to put them down.

Speaking of Apocalypse...

After shooting down the latest round of UFOs (seriously, guys? Week 3, you send two high-end transports, and three of those pathetic, get-shot-down-by-passing-cops supporting craft as an escort?), I cleared the building I saw them infiltrate with only one serious injury.

Then I attacked the first downed UFO, and discovered they had spontaneously acquired both Vortex Mines and Disruptor Shields.  :o
Luckily, both vortex mines fell short (one hitting the roof of the UFO!), and I survived with no deaths.
Second UFO raid, I lose one guy to disruptor fire, but I'm still feeling pretty darn confident.

Then, we get an alert. From the Senate building. I quickly rally the 8 most-uninjured agents (3 androids, 5 humans), and split them into two squads of 4.

Squad 1 arrives and almost immediately gets trapped in a crossfire. On one side of the room, a stairway behind a blind corner leads to a second-floor hallway. On the other side of the room, there's a side door. The two sides, combined, contained roughly 6 Anthropods and 5 Skeletoids, all armed with superior weapons, several of them equipped with shields, and at least two of them kitted out with Vortex Mines. Squad 1 loses 3 men, with a fourth (an android) reduced to only a tiny sliver of his health bar after both a Devastator shot and a glancing blow from a mine. Miraculously, he didn't suffer a critical wound (otherwise, he'd have died for certain), but he did spend most of the fight panicking in a corner before being ordered off the map.

Meanwhile, Squad 2 was held up by Multiworms and Poppers on the other side of the building. They finally arrived to relieve Squad 1 just a few scant moments after the second Vortex Mine, leaving almost nothing of Squad 1 to relieve. The first guy to poke his head around the corner takes a shot to the chest, and retreats to heal. The second guy to poke his head around the corner has said head blown clean off, dying instantly.

Realizing that the enemy in question is a shielded Anthropod, I flood the area with stun gas, hoping to choke him without having to deal with his shield (and, while I'm at it, claim the shield!). As he's going down, he gets a solid hit on my grenadier, dropping him to single-digit health and applying a critical (read: bleed damage over time) wound. With his weakened health, my grenadier promptly succumbs to stun gas - and since you can't apply medical aid while unconscious, he's doomed to die long before waking up.

Except that last alien promptly passed out. Mission complete, before my downed trooper could bleed out; and once the mission ends, bleed damage is stopped.

Final result? Eight men entered the battlefield. Four died, and two were wounded to within a few pixels of death. The other two troops were also wounded by glancing attacks, leaving me with no healthy, experienced troops and a seriously over-capacity Medbay (a second is currently under construction - this one's been at 170+% for days!). And my physicists have probably another week or two before they even the odds (at which point, I'll be facing Dimension Missiles, or something else equally dreadful). Oh, and I just pissed off the Grav Ball League, which apparently influences the recruit rate for Human soldiers. And I'm behind on my aerial research program. :o
This game is about to get fun:D

Security Officer Lillian Levett was making her way through the maintenance tunnels to get to the escape pod. Using an engineering ID confiscated from the recently arrested, she was doing pretty well.  Then she almost died to unnoticed vacuum when she stepped into the empty gap between the botany and chapel maintenance halls. Almost. She got her internals on and crossed the gap, making it into the chapel with a couple minutes to spare.

Then Lillian saw an assistant running around in the chapel. She stopped to help...

And was then paralyzed with neurotoxins and absorbed by some freak alien that tok the form of an assistant.

I think my last was in Fallout 3, exploring an area of DC I'd somehow never stumbled upon before in all my massive amount of playtime, called L'Enfant Plaza.
I'd killed a heap of muties exploring the place, so I wasn't too suprised when I was attacked by a Master.
I opened fire with whichever of my guns had ammo, managed to get him to stand on a frag mine, and then finally finished him off with a hunting rifle. I was pretty injured, just catching my breath and reloading when I realised all his bullets that missed had hit a pile of old cars behind me... Kaboooom.

Also, I need to try out this Xcom game, but I have no idea how to get it to run. :'(

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.
