I last died at the hands of some bogeymen, I had gone on an epic quest, killed the seven local bandits, and then upon my return, on the same map token as the town, they killed me.

Tried to launch all my marines at a ground base to destroy it. Both shuttlecraft get shot down by SAMs well above the ground. I try to kill my command ship by jumping out the airlock and shooting it with a rifle. To be fair, that was somewhat successful, although the first attempt had to be aborted due to the idiot crew deciding to chase after a ship that was already fleeing the region. Then two raider ships show up, and due to the crappy controls, my weapons systems never fire and they manage to cripple my ship. To be honest, I am surprised they didn't destroy it, and I was left to the previous plan of jumping out the airlock and shooting my ship with a rifle. It was successful.

Battlecruiser: Universal Combat. I was bored and wanted to go on a campaign to conquer Earth, one base at a time. Too bad I set the landing waypoint less than 50 meters from the base, silly me. 40 marines dead, for !!Science!!.

Public opinion went to shit and I was assassinated, 1 adviser having resigned and another being killed in nuclear retaliation.

They only retaliated once and I attacked twice, the first time I sent 200 nukes and the second I sent 4000.

Needless to say, I pretty much flattened the 'Union and made them surrender. Before the nuclear strike I invaded them with the help of Turkey and some other country.

I only sent ~4200 because I hit some sort of cap when increasing the number to be launched.

If there wasn't the cap I would've turned the USSR into a giant crater.

China nuked us. UK nuked China. China nuked them. UK nuked them again. Iraq condemned China's nuking of us. France tried to initiate a coup against us. Germany cut off trade with UK, then condemned them. China and UK condemned each other. The Soviet Union condemned China. China condemned Iraq. My press secretary(who had already resigned) told me "I had better have had a good reason for nuking Mexico!!". France condemned UK. Then my press secretary issued a statement saying that our allies(we have allies? and a press secretary?) were considering sanctions against China for nuking us. Then I invaded Mexico with negative 230000 troops against 90000 Mexicans. And my popularity went up from invading(though dropped like a brick from the nuclear attack), and then dropped because of it. True, radiation sickness probably causes dementia.

And then China tried to assassinate UK's leader. I think they got the Prime Minister instead .

I lol'd at all of them nuking each other. My actions just started a tiny war of Me + Turkey + some other morons vs. USSR. Beyond that it was just people condemning each other and blocking trade.

In the end, France assassinated me. Probably for my attempt to assassinate Sweden's leader.

Sent myself out to recruit two survivors hiding out in a church near my little stronghold. Seems I should have taken a military escort. Day 4 and I'm already down three survivors? This is not good.

Game: Rebuild on Hard, as a warm-up to Harder. Dunno if it counts since my death doesn't mean the loss of the game (yet), but I doubt I'll survive, as my stronghold started right next to an Allmart, and, y'know, all my leaders are dead.
