I was playing Elona.

My character can pretty much handle the first floor of a level 1 or 2 dungeon. I was strolling around and the punk in front of me
explodes into gibs, then an ice hound nukes me.

Last city crushed by the Brutii. My 1/2 stack of Armored Hoplites were no match for their THREE stacks of Praetorian and Early Cohort. GOSHDARN IT, HOW DID THEY EVEN MAKE THEM SO FAST?!?

Apparently B24 isn't as new as I thought. I'm still running B23 in any case, I'm not sure my mods would survive the changes.

Anyway, I lost my faction leader in Medieval Total War II the other day. Playing as the British, and while Scotland has been defeated, France basically rules the Vatican and threatens excommunication any time I try to attack. It also appears that I have no friends in the world, as diplomats will show up from the Papal States and other countries, demand money in exchange for not attacking, and then attack anyway. Now I'm desperately trying to hold onto my mainland cities as they face constant attack from very large armies.

After escaping shockers, spitters, necromancers, and massive hordes of zeds, my cocaine addicted russian base ball bat swinger of death was crippled by a wolf and a fast zombie, then beat to death by a brute. I guess I should have used all that vodka to make molotovs :P

I entered a portal in elona. Ended up in the doom fortress at level 6. Turned round to leave, BAM dead.

I left the captain's quarters and flicked open my lighter, only to explode into a dozen bloody chunks. I took half the station's vitals with me, blew open three floors and a half a dozen windows, leaked atmosphere, and back the whole damn station up.

Moral of the story is, don't smoke and Captain.

Yep, that round just ended. Eventually we all died from heat (from the engine maybe, not sure exactly), so the AI readied the escape pods while the Cyborg dragged our bodies onto the pod.

Moral of the story is, keep the engine cooled down, just so you know it's not the cause of people burning up even when they're wearing Firesuits.
