Ah the joys of X*, where mistakes like that fuck you over profoundly.
I remember when I finally managed to kill enough pirates in Paranid space to be allowed to purchase a Oddyseus(Paranid M2). Much of Kha'ak space was purged after that.
Personally though I preferred my Phoenix or my Ray(Boron M2), there's just something about rolling a long in curbstomping people in a 3-4 kilometer weapon of mass destruction.
For reference here's the M1s he's talking about, along with the other capital ships in the X series. See the littlest dot marked argon buster, he was in a ship that was smaller than that dot.
(*In my case I'm talking about X3 Reunion it's possible he's talking about a different one.)
As for how I last died, it was in final doom, I was attempting it for the first time, I was at 1 health left and managed to kill a cacodemon, 17 skulls, a white cacodemon, 2 of the guys who light you on fire and then make you explode, and 3 of the big guys with massive rocket launcher arms before I went down to a grunt with a pistol... This was the first level of Final Doom. It was fucking hard, that's all I'll say, and I was lucky to survive as long as I did.
