I used to play it back in the beta.  Effective max level was 30 at the time due to a lack of high level enemies with no PvP. 

Has it gotten any better?  The game's combat system was the best I ever saw in a MMO and the community was actually pretty cool.  And yea using a cerby against jack frosts?  No wonder he got tore up.  Though I forget if you could change demons mid battle.

It is really good to me I think the max level now is 94, and the Cereberus was the only demon I had besides a Pixie.
Yeah, you can change demons. I really hate doing so though because I am a magnetite hoarder.

Yea I loved the game back then, the only problem was when I got to 30 there was no content left.  It was all either grind one dungeon over and over and over to try and break the soft level cap, or go photon hunting for money.  The dungeon was next to impossible to solo, so if you wanted to do that you had to try to put a pug together, and everybody and their mother photon hunted in that one place with the obelisk in the middle of the lake, so you either fought over photons or went someplace with harder photons for lower value vendor trash.

Maybe I should start playing again.  I'll have to see if I can get my buddy back into it.

Not dying per se, but I loaded an old save that I meant to save over it. What's worse is that the autosave went with it. There goes about two hours of work.

Started desperately drinking all of my potions whilst sitting at 1HP. One of them was a Potion of Rot.

While trying to kill a certain amorphous flesh ball, I got killed by my team's orbital laser.

Then the Space Station with the laser crashed into the planet.
