I use my lightning attack (14 damage, 70% chance to hit, 4 hits.) on a troll, needing only two hits to kill him, which is quite likely, or so I thought. I miss all 4 of them, 4 30% chances in a damn row. Troll hammers me into the ground. I happen to be an important character, game over, reload from autosave.

At least it autosaves every turn.

I don't recall my percentage calculations all to well, but I think there's less than 1% chance of that happening. Stupid RNG. That's the third in three scenarios.

Got lazored by a blind dragon because it seems the person the leader designated to hit the gong to distract it was not actually in ventrilo and could not hear me yelling for him to hit the gong.

Yeah, savescumming has become somewhat commonplace in my Wesnoth-ing. Usually because I don't like losing my Assassin to stupid luck. Stupid git can't dodge a single attack even when he's got 70% protection.


Still kinda fun.

More recently, Cyclops skeleton killed my Troll Beserker. I was going quite well, too.

A single Floater armed with a Plasma Rifle one shotted the last 5 of my soldiers. Bastard couldn't miss, for some reason. Conversely, my guys couldn't hit a barn door. Rocket Launcher guy specifically couldn't figure out where he was meant to point his weapon.
