Yeah. Was trying out a new strategy involving long range thermal boreholes and Clean Reactor Supply Convoys. 12 holes with convoys let me pump out even the biggest secret project in 3-4 turns.

Yeah, just buy it, it's not hard to find.  Alpha Centauri is totally awesome, and is seriously worth saving up the money for even if you are just fourteen.

Also, clean-reactor convoys are so totally broken.  Hell, convoys themselves are enormously broken.  But that's part of the glory of it all.

I was just noting that it runs in even the most recent version of windows that is known to have compatibility problems with older games. 32bit is fine.

I fell in Electrified Toxic Waste, which means I apparently fell into the secret ingredient of Red Bull.

I decided to go underground to eliminate the Giant bugs plaguing one of my Towns. I didn't expect the bugs to be quite so numerous, or to have as large a lair as they did. I ran out of ammo for most of my guns, then one of them spat a noxious substance at me, knocking me out and letting the others tear me apart in melee.

Totally stocking up on Assault Rifles and HP/Glaser ammo for the next attempt. AP doesn't do much damage and sometimes just goes straight through.
