Made a last stand against Nightclaw that cornered me and Boone in the quarry. Cass died along the way and we only had a few bullets left. Needless to say....I went out with a bang by aiming down and shooting my last "Fat Man" mini nuke..

Calling fould play on that last one. You cant have cass and Boone at the same time (unless you glitch), and Boone cannot die, ever.

Got into a firefight with a couple of blue blokes. One of them chucked what looked like an 8-legged starfish at me, which exploded and took me out in easy move. My teammates nailed him, but the damage was done.

1. You don't need mods as you can have them together and 2. Companions can die in Hardcore mode.....so yah...

Yes. Only saying that Boone can't die. He can theoritically die, but the only fights he can't win alone are against a bunch of cazadores or a tighly grouped Deathclaw squad.  The dude as about 117 gun skill at lvl 5

On normal he can be 2-3 hit by deathclaw......plus theres like 3-4 deathclaw that rush you as soon as u enter the quarry.
