Not my last death, but my most interesting was the other night when I touched a large ruby that was in a shrine to some dark deity who was apparently trapped inside the ruby.  My soul was ripped from my body to the inside of the gem, where it was continuously raped for several thousand years, though only a week passed outside.  Through a combination of miracle to get my soul out and normal resurrection I was able to come back to life(about 15k gp in all), though with some fun psychological flaws.  Note to self: don't touch large red gems which drip blood and are dedicated to dark gods when even goblins won't touch it on pain of death.

About three separate people were trying to assasinate me and take the top slot. I managed to lose two of them by hiding in a haystack after using a chasebreaker, but the third one saw me exit the haystack at the last second and stabbed me from above.

I was running away from superior enemy forces. I thought I was safe. However, a Hell Baron was more then willing to prove me wrong by opening a door right next to me. He then proceeded to blast me into the wall after I fired my Plasma Rifle twice to no effect.
