I'm on the hydroponics deck, wandering around blindly like usual. I run down a hallway, see a breakable window to my right, slam my wrench into it and jump through. I start looting various desks around the room when I hear a horrible sound: Robotic legs walking. I have no medical supplies and only ten health. I immediately draw my pistol, change to AP ammo, and lean out the window to see a cyborg midwife coming down the hallway. It fires, I take two shots and bring it to half health. Its shot connects with me and nearly kills me. With two health left, I lean back out the window and promptly receive its second shot to the face and die.

Later on, I ran out of AP ammo and thought I was totally screwed. But it turns out that running circles while point-blanking them with shotgun slugs is actually really effective.

After clearing out a hallway, I notice a door I had somehow missed despite running by multiple times. It was locked, and there was a keypad on the wall. This one was terrible. Most of it was red nodes, so I spent 100+ nanites just resetting it trying to find a straight line of three. When I finally managed to get it open, I was met with a massive, polished-white, military-grade killbot ready to kick my ass. I was low on health, so it shot me in the face and I died instantly.

I respawn at the biogenerator thingy five feet away and run as fast as I can down another hallway. I jumped behind a wall and leaned out, pistol loaded with AP rounds ready. It enters my sight, I start firing. Eleven rounds later, my pistol breaks and it has a sliver of health left. I switch to a random weapon, in this case, my energy pistol. I put out a few shots with that, it dies. On the upside, I entered the room I opened and found a quality ten (perfect) assault rifle hanging on the wall. I dump my quality seven one and take that. Just need two more ranks in standard weapons and I can use it!

As for deaths: Was lining up a Do217, got about 0.5km behind and was putting my sights on his engines when I notice something approaching to his front. A friendly Beaufighter dives straight in at full speed like a homing missile, cuts the Dornier in half, and I can only watch as the now out of control Beaufighter careens of in my direction and slams into my little fighter moments later. I'd be pissed if it wasn't so cinematically beautiful.

Wu Tang Clan ain't nothin' to fuck with - that is to say I should probably not take a level 16 cornac alchemist into the Lake of Nur without proper equipment because that's going to end up with some kind of defilement at the hands of an oozing horror, a worm that walks, and a rare devourer, and all at the same time too. It's kind of not fair that one of the little fuckers managed to summon poor Chloe while another silenced, pinned and stunned her, and the other decided to then have it's way with her golem while the other two went at it on her family-style. I fucking hate the Lake of Nur for reasons like this.

My next run had me lose a ton of crew, leaving only an Engi and a Zoltan. I got one Zoltan back, and then we ended up getting boarded by FOUR Zoltan, who took out my shields, I got firebombed, and died horribly.

Borderlands 2

Selected my favorite character and the first match was against Q. This version of Q is both challenging and fun to fight; not a lot of moves, but they're fast, hard-hitting, and the AI can easily combo them. Plus the AI loves to parry and is very good at it.

I win the first round, Q takes the second. Third round we're neck-and-neck, with about a tenth of our health left. I manage to pull off one of my character's super moves, a beam attack that deals 50+ low damage hits. I thought to myself "It's over".

It was, but not the way I was expecting. In a tournament-worthy move, Q proceeded to parry every single hit perfectly before taking me out. I couldn't even be mad, it was pretty amazing.

M.U.G.E.N.

While wandering the dungeon my party had a strange urge to go through a teleporter we had been through a dozen times already.  But this time it brought us someplace strange... and very dark.

The resident mage cast a light spell and we looked around finding a strange woman who looked like the banker from arnika wearing a nametag Cunny the Trader.  She seemed to have a number of odd unworldly items for sale, after a few failed attempts at trying to get her attention we decided to move on farther into the dungeon.

However out of the darkness lept a powerful demonic creature called a 'gorror' that tore the my party limb from limb in a matter of a few turns.

Wizardry 8

I have learned of the cosmic forge game editor.  And I was toying around with it before editing a teleporter near my party's location to send them to a custom dungeon I threw together.  There was a new npc that was supposed to sell some custom items I meant to test, but for some reason she was not working.

I was also inspired to recreate the Gorrors from wizardry 7.  A series of superbosses.  Unfortunately for my party, my first attempt at that was both very successful and very true to the source materiel.

Not dead, but inches from it... twice.

The first gunfight erupted when someone refused to surrender an illegal weapon and escalated into a full-blown Wild West shootout with all parties receiving severe injuries, though my skull was apparently fractured beyond recognition. At the very end of the round I attempted to destroy the A.I. who had been telling us all to "self-terminate for the greater good". Of course I hit a cyborg and everyone shot me, but my exoskeleton held me together until the end of the round.
