Why would you make it so they do? Also why do Thin Men seem to never miss ever? You would think something holding a rifle with one hand would be fairly innaccurate, even given it being a light rifle and Thin Men being magical geneticaly modified aliens.
Thin Men already have naturally high base defence, and the gun they use has a +15 modifier to aim. No random stats..enemies always have the same gun..no inventory to speak of for anyone..Enemy Unknown is the perfect example of "taking the series in a new direction" done wrong. Not that there isn't already an entire
Library of Fucking Alexandria of those to choose from already (Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, Final Fantasy XI-II, Resident Evil 6, etc.). I'm so sick of sequels and reboots. Final Fantasy is an exception most of the time. They're almost always trying new, actually interesting ideas (I think), and no matter the title the story is always baller as hell.
I told my only machine gun squad to set up in a ditch at the edge of an open field and cover the expanse of woods located at the opposite end, from which the British paratroops were pushing forwards. They halted the advance immediately, then came under
massive suppressing fire (we're talking an entire infantry company plus one mortar firing at five guys) and mowed down four squads of British shock troops that tried to rush the position from the woods. A small group of survivors remained, most of whom hit the dirt and started crawling back to the safety of the trees, but one brave bastard stayed behind. He sprinted towards the MG nest, across a 50 yard expanse of flat terrain with zero cover whilst being fired upon by two crack platoons platoons of SS Riflemen, and lobbed a single grenade before finally being shot down and then blown up at the same time. It exploded and the entire team instantly panicked and deserted, making it off the battlefield with no injuries sustained, a thousand rounds of ammunition and our only machine gun.
Meanwhile my own grenadiers were moments away from finishing their flanking manoeuvre when the machine gun was routed. The British poured through the break, isolating my grenadiers and slaughtering them after a few minutes of brutal hand to hand fighting. My riflemen didn't have enough time to relocate in order to cover the loss of our gun, and were overrun in turn.
