Just adding to the list of XCOM: Enemy Unknown deaths:

17 days to first Council report, practically my 2nd or 3rd mission, had to escort a VIP back to the Skyranger. Turn 2, took up defensive positions in a small building and outside it. Moved my sniper into a defensive position as my last action. Thin Man spotted 2 tiles from the building entrance (which had an open door and TWO men in full cover, one who dashed and one who shot down a Sectoid just previously, so no Overwatch).
Thin Man cinematic plays, it ran into the building, Alien Activity round starts, it instantly goes and point blank shoots down the VIP who was keeping his head down in the corner of the building.

I hate some moments of this game, so frustrating. Still bloody brilliant though. Just frustrating.

It was a standard run on Normal, with the Zoltan B ship. Got a free Burst Laser Mk3 partway through the second sector.

Then I ran out of fuel. The Rebel Fleet caught up with me.

Seriously, I get free Run Out Of Fuel cards and my friend gets free Glaive Beams and Burst Mk3's every second sector...

Puppet Ganon wasn't so hard once I got his pattern down, although he's pretty cool too Ganondorf just moved way too fast for me.

Needed more moss for for Blighttown so figured I'd just farm some souls instead of the moss, because I wanted to upgrade some gear as well. Somehow my controller interpreted the 'block with shield and live' button as the 'roll off cliff and die' button instead.

Dark Souls.

Got sick and tired of the supposed 20% drop rate of dragon scales off of drakes (pfft more like 2%) and a friend of mine wanted to pvp eachother for awhile.  So instead of putting down a red summon sign I put down dragon eye summons instead.  Winner gets dragon scales!  How could this go wrong!

Fight 1: He eats my dragon breath while he yelled something along the lines of holy shit what the hell was that!  He stabs at me with his rapier in low health.  I roll off a cliff.

Fight 2: I use my dragon greatsword special attack (a long range shockwave) he gets lucky and blocks it.  More holy shit what was that.  I start casting firestorm, he backstabs me.

Fight 3: He drops the dragon scales.  I pick them up like the greedy bastard I am.  He backstabs me while I pick them up.

Fight 4: I swing my really heavy sword. He sticks his tiny quick little sword in my spine.

Fight 5: I swing my really heavy sword. He sticks his tiny quick little sword in my spine.

Fight 6: He drops dragonscales, I firestorm to drive him off while I pick them up. We're both low hp, him from one swing from my sword, me from a hundred tiny cuts of me keeping my back safely to a cliff.  I see an opportunity, two hand my sword and use the shockwave again.  He dodges it and pokes at me again, I block, but without my shield up I still take damage.  I die.

PvP is hard.

Dark souls

Huge defensive positions, at least 2 AT cannons, 3 MG emplacements, and a Bofors, and a shitload of slit trenches filled with max veterancy commandoes each. 3 bridges to defend, placed bombs on every single one if hell would go loose. Suddenly a fuckton of tanks and what-do-I-know steamrolls my supposedly invincible defensive positions. I had to blow up all the bridges, after everything was gone pretty much. Had nothing left, no resources or anything after my massive defensive buildup. Took almost all enemies with me. Except for a little tiny motorcycle and a Panzer IV. All my trucks get blown up except for the HQ, but I manage to build some Sappers and give them PIAT's. My HQ truck is under attack by the tank and bike, tank gets blown up by Sappers, HQ gets finished off by that bike. Then the same bike kills my final Sappers.
