Floaters? They are usually pretty undeadly, but the Random Number God works in mysterious ways.

Personally, I've found Floaters pretty darn deadly if you aren't careful.

Or are you talking about the ones in the original X-Com?

With my body rapidly weakening from old age, my porcupine posse and I made a desperate attempt to take control of Yamanote Line West so that I could breed and pass on my genes. Unfortunately, a pack of jackals were spread out all the way down the tracks and didn't hesitate to attack us on sight. While their attacks were somewhat deflected by my spiky armor, my group was eventually whittled down to one remaining member. I died of age-induced starvation inches away from the last marking point while hounded by a half-dozen jackals, thus ending a 48 year rodent dynasty.

I am envious of you playing tokyo jungle. Wish I had a PS3  :'(

Latest death was because maria the mantis didn't repair the cockpit controls fast enough for an escape jump (I was flying the basilisk)

Forget I had said my cannons to autofire when I moved my infantery forward to meet the enemies cavalerie charge. Caused me to loose a 30 minute battle that was a continuation of me doing stupid things, trying to recover from them and my computer bugging out. (Cavalery kept getting stuck on bridges). Made more annoying by the fact that my computer doesn't really manage battle speeds faster than slowmotion/ normal.

I had to find the dig site, guarded by Eldar.
So, original starting forces of 2 tactical marine squads, one command by my Force Commander, the other by my Librarian.
I also had a squad of Assault marines, and a dreadnaught.
On my way to the dig site I weathered way after way of Eldar, slowly grinding my nerves.
By the time I got to the entrance of the dig site my dreadnaught was dead.
I charged with my assault marines and tactical marines.
I was slaughtered.
I sat for maybe 20 minutes building about a force of 5 dreadnaughts.
They got slaughtered.
I quit out of frustration.
Fuck you Eldar.

(Fun fact: Eldar is a name elves call themselves in middle earth! So Eldar are literally Space Elves!)
