Alright, Going Rogue, Realm of the Diggle Gods, 15 levels of hell, and finally I come face to face with Lord Dredmor. Lots of preparation for this moment: A hoard of Mass Destruction Bolts, Ingeniously Scythed Steel Bolts and Clockwork Rail Launcher, ridiculous amount of Clockwork gear, dual enchanted/encrusted Clockwork Ravagers for tons of melee damage. Bring it on.

After a slightly extensive battle after which I've managed to whittle him down to about 60% health, he lightning bolts me for 80 damage, killing me.

So bloody close.

I do the trick where you funnel them and that just gets me cornered, i usually encounter them an floor 2-3

you have to funnel them into a doorway that is 1 tile wide so they cant move around you. also if you use this you have to be able to 1 or 2 shot them. we should actually bring this into the dungeons of dredmore thread.

Keto on hard is ridiculous. 10-15 Sharks attacking my harbor at once. Even me beelining for aircraft and mass amounts of defense turrets didn't help.

should I actually get that game?

I'm torn between getting it and not getting it :/

Not everyone might like that game, so my advice would be save the money for something better.

I recommend Anno 2070 on the grounds that it is a very fun city builder, and is actually one of the relatively few games which pulled me back after I stopped playing it a while ago. It's rather addictive, invoking the same "Just one more turn" feeling that one would get from Civ (or, well, "Just a few more minutes", since the game isn't turn-based).

Sadly, it's published by Ubisoft. The game is great, but you'll have to download UPlay in order to play it even if you buy it through Steam. Yes, that UPlay. It's great if you're willing to look past that, but if you're adamant about not supporting draconian DRM, you should probably go play something else.

Yeah, Anno is quite nice, but the online only DRM quite ruins it.
