Fortified my base and managed to to destroy a wave of aliens.

But I forgot I was standing near fire all the time, and heat stroke got me.

Trying to play me some Dungeon Fighter. Logging onto the site, clicking play, game starts up, blah blah blah "Authentication failed" and the game closes. Dangit.
Repeat a couple more times. First one is the same, second one pops up a little error window saying "file not created" with the only option being "yes". Google some fixes, do them, seems to be working fine. Until... "Authentication failed." Google that for fixes, looks like it's just Nexon derping up.

I had just encountered an elite firechain teleporting vortex waller mob...

But I had to poop. And I wasn't about to pull an Eric Cartman from the WoW episode of Southpark. I heard my character die from the toilet.

There was a reason town portals were referred to as tp's.
But then again, Diablo III doesn't have those from the sound of it.

I got shot in the face while challenging bandits holding a power cell needed to repair my father's spaceship.

Diablo 3 town portals are not instant, and getting hit during the casting time causes an interrupt.

If it was singleplayer, you can pause. If it wasn't, well, sucks that your teammates couldn't protect you, but vortex-teleport-firechain-waller is a difficult combination.

Anyway. I ran out of money after all my trains decided to start breaking down, and I put everything I had in elaborate track systems just before.

Base jumped off of the cliff next to the reaper stronghold. I tried to grind the crack, unfortunately my kneecap tapped the cliffside and I died immediately.

Anyway, Dark Souls. I'm not sure if I need to elaborate beyond that for anyone who's played it... but I will anyway. I was fighting a spear-wielding Hollow in a narrow corridor when some fuggin' knight type enemy kills me from behind and I lose 3,000 fuggin' souls and 3 points of humanity. After all the difficulty I had killing the boar two or three rooms back I ragequit pretty much immediately.

You must be really early on to think 3000 souls is a lot. lol

@terkiey: Yeah, I'd bought it the day (or two days, can't remember which) before I posted that. :P Now that I've beaten Sif, the Taurus Demon and the areas around him don't seem that bad in retrospect.

The cloaking device really helps with that part. You can avoid the first round of missiles/drones with enough power into the cloaker and engines.

Murderated by Giant Mimic #2 in Izchak's shop. I had just emerged, battered and bruised, from killing the first one which was right next to it. Really pissed off at that, because I had just bought a magic lamp from him and had found a magic lamp and cheap smoky potion in a general store on level 2. (They were all uncursed, and the temple was neutral [I was lawful, being a dwarven valkyrie], so no holy water to speak of either)

EDIT: I feel stupid now because I remembered that mimics respect Elbereth.
