Playing a mod that improved AI for both the players units and the enemy.   After about 3 days I finally realized that the enemy AI improvements were off by default so I turned them on.

I got absolutely WRECKED next fight stupidly charging a Rhodok(sic?) spear wall that actually knew how to use their spears against cavalry.  Fortunately I outnumbered them 3 to 1 and my minions were both not mounted, and not stupid, so the fight was won, but I still had to recuperate back at Sargoth for two days and lamed a really expensive horse for my poor judgement.

Sorry, oversight.  Pre Battle OD is the mod.  Donno how popular it is since I'm new to the whole M&B mod lists, but it seems pretty comprehensive.  Apparently enemy archers will sometimes fire in volleys with that too and my nord allies seem to be more interested in attacking from high ground than charging into a meat grinder the moment the fight starts with no regard to what I'm trying to do now.

Odd thing with it though is that it seems only certain nobles will actually use those fancier manuvers like bracing spears to meet a charge, or volley firing arrows.  I have a feeling it's based on the lord's tactics skill.  And there does seem to be a sorta buggy edge case where both sides of an encounter will go defensive and not actually approach eachother, forcing the player to do a bigger chunk of the fighting.

Went into a hospital, noticed everyone had starved into zombies, ran out to the National Guard outside to kite the zombies to death. Went in again, got chewed up by stronger zombies, down to 3HP, ran out again to the National Guard, and noticed they were gone. Last I saw, they lost at least one guy, and their seargent and most of the rest of the men weren't looking to good either. So I ran around trying to dodge zombies, when one surprises me in front and hits me. Dead.
