Trapped in a corner underground where I couldn't use my wings to escape, and pummeled by a slugsnout, and a couple of other mean critters that I can't recall, so that my regeneration wasn't fast enough to bail me out. What got me though, was a last-ditch desperation attempt to lob a grenade over their heads and have it take them out from behind. Miscalculated the blast radius.

Was near the endgame of the match, we had destroyed all the enemies factories and they were on the run with the MHQ, I was flying high above in an SU-34 after destroying many of those factories. I tab through my weapons to see what I have left, and the total comes up nil. I call up my friends to see if they could get here and blow it up but they're either fighting what's left of the other team in Chernogursk, or out of money to buy anything that will get there in time.

So I roll in and line my plane right up with the MHQ and punch it, SU-34 hits the MHQ at 500kph and we win the game.

Nice. I wish I'd gotten into Arma 2 before OA came out, sounds so awesome, but OA is pricey and looks like it might not run on my PC. Are there still any decent games/clans on vanilla Arma2?

I have all the ARMA games but play vanilla the most. www.awpaholic.com is the clan who's server I play on. They have a vent for voice chat which is terribly useful. I'm Calvin McGowan on vent, arma and the forums. We play a custom Warfare gamemode only, and I think it's the only way to play large scale multiplayer adversarial. I play OPFOR exclusively so if you're on BLUFOR and start taking 122mm artillery fire, you know who to blame.

Cheese, OA is much more optimized than Arma2 vanilla. I get much smoother play from it as does everyone I know.

I kill skeletons (with snowballs :P), I quickly kill zombies, spiders run away from me, and those kamikaze creepers are the only dolts that hit me.

I quickly gave him a BAR.

Eventually brought down by a SS blitz. Decided to end it all with an 11TP Naval battery. Damned SS stood at the top of the map, though, so not many of them were hit with the shells. They did take out an Opel, though.
