It's the MOUT training in the tutorial of ArmA 2; there is a small village with enemies in; I must kill these enemies. I promptly run around the north side of the village, making sure to drop to the ground every few seconds to throw off the aim of any enemies who spotted me and to get my breath back. I slowly crawl and sneak towards the outskirts of the village, scanning constantly for enemies. I drop prone and check my map, to see where I am and any suspected enemy locations, but find nothing interesting. Getting up to a crouching position, I move slowly forwards and around the first building before I spot the enemy warlord. I drop to my knee and he raises his gun towards me as I see another enemy run around the corner and begin to fire at me. I release a few short bursts of fire at the officer, killing him, before I roll behind cover again to get my breath back. I roll back out and quickly take care of the remaining enemy, but taking a hit in the process. Now injured, I get back behind the building I had just gone around to calm my nerves and prepare for the next encounter with the enemy. From trying to do this mission before, I knew that there were five enemies in the village: a warlord, two riflemen, a grenadier and a machine gunner. After kneeling there for a minute or so, I scan the horizon for enemies and move clockwise around the village, carefully checking every corner for enemies. Having not found any, I turn around and check the other side of another building, when suddenly there is the machine gunner standing right next to me. Seeing that he hadn't noticed me, I spray some bullets at him, but miss horribly due to my nerves. He turns around and I throw another hail of bullets, killing him this time.
There were two enemies left and I had no clue where they were, so I set out looking for them. After a few minutes of slowly and carefully making my way around the perimeter of the town I turn to my left and see one of the enemies out in the open. I quickly drop to my knee and aim my shot. I then pull the trigger and watch him fall down. With only one enemy left I was on a roll, but I had taken two bullets so far, and that was impacting my performance. I waited for a while before searching the area for more signs of enemies and not finding any for a while. Going around the corner of a fence, I suddenly see an enemy taking cover behind a wall and aiming at me, I drop prone and roll out of the way before preparing to take him on. I jump out and he fires at me, hitting me as I shoot him dead. Three bullets now, and I'm rather badly injured, sending my accuracy to pot. Having killed all five enemies, I wondered why the mission was not over. I suddenly realise that there must be another enemy hiding somewhere, so I raise my guard and prepare to shoot him dead. I make my way through the village not seeing him and get right to the other side, with a large open field and the sea in front of me, before going prone and checking my map. Crap! He's just the other side of this fence to my right. I calm down and quietly go around the fence, ready to kill him. Upon not finding him, I check my map again to see that he has gone around to the side I was just on, so I follow him around and we end up going in circles for a while. Eventually, I see that he is running towards the sea through this open field and I drop to a knee so I can get a steadier aim. I take a few shots at him, but can't get a hit due to my injuries, so I go prone and try and line up a solid shot. He goes prone and aims at me, shooting and missing as I spray at him in the hopes that it will pin him down. I hear another bang and I get hit, blood splattering across my face and knocking my aim off. Seeing that I am losing this duel, I try and roll out of the way. Bang! I'm dead.
