Fell to my death 3 or 4 times in the engine room in Rusty Bucket Bay in Banjo-Kazooie. That's more deaths than I've had in the rest of the game combined.
I still really like this game, but I want to punch whoever designed this level. I spent a good hour collecting music notes in the level before I even found how to get into the engine room, then promptly died. Oops, got to collect them all again. Oh yeah, and that switch I triggered to stop the propeller blades so I could advance? That got reset too, which I only remembered after I died a few more times and got to that point but couldn't advance. So every time I died I had to go do that first. Oh yeah, and then there's a 65 second timer to get back out of the engine room and swim down to the propellers to get a jiggy, all while I'm frantically fighting to make Banjo and Kazooie face the right way while swimming, lest they drown because the water is poisonous in this level.
Then I spent another hour looking for the last jiggy and 11 music notes only to finally give up and google it. I was on the lookout for things I could break to get into a hidden room, since I knew that had to be where they were, but I wasn't expecting the windows on the side of the ship, which are extremely inconspicuous and look textured on, to be the things I had to break...
