First time fighting Quelaag in a long while and her AOE did just enough damage to kill me - 691 pure fire, according to the wiki. Apparently "a little under full HP while Human" wasn't enough to tank it. At least I know not to just stand behind her like a dunce 24/7.

I actually died twice to her just then, too. Second attempt ended when I ate her frontal stab trying to back off and heal.

Dark Souls: Prepare To not have multiplayer Die Edition

Had a really good game.  Built a 2x3 brick tower on the top of a tall building at tilted towers, with tilted towers happening to be the last area.  4 kills, a really good shotgun/rifle/sniper and a stack of bandages.  The only thing I lack: shields.  See a drop no one bothered to get way at ground level but it feels too risky to go for it.  The zone comes in deeper than my tower and I decide now is the time to make my move on the drop.  No one notices me grab it; its got a big shield potion and a golden SCAR.  The drop was in the path of the storm, I outrun the storm at 30 HP so I build a little cube to apply my bandages in.   Oh wait... the cube isn't quite in the new zone.  That's fine... I'll just edit a door... oh the editing isn't working.  That's fine, I'll settle for 4th   Really felt like this could have been the one.

If I played single player I'd probably understand editing better, but as is it seems to take me a few tries to get my edits to "stick".

In Celebration Of Violence

Jump retail row.  See a purple weapon through one of those destroyed wood walls on the side of a house.  Dig my way through, its a semiauto sniper.  Hear running inside, rush forward to kill the person and/or find a more practical gun.  I get one no-scope off for 63 damage.  Before I can fire again they fucking annihilate me.

They found a purple SCAR in the same building.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Disfavoured got pissy I snubbed them at the second taking of the Apex so they barred me from entering Lathiens Crossing (which I fucking gave them to control) where I was on official buisness investigating possible corruption charges against them. I decide, fuck it you assholes got enough leeway out of me, I'll go in by force. So I kill the entrance guards and figure I'll come back later after running some other errands. Turns out you can't do that because even tho there aren't any nearby enemies that see you you're still counted as in combat and you can't leave the map without killing every enemy on it. Which I then proceeded to do, except the last group was fuck-off big and had a named char in it that was way tougher than I expected so I got my party wiped. And as I was playing ironman that meant my save went poof as well. Now I'm on my second, completely different character and I might get wiped out just before the city where some mercs have set up a racket for travellers and I was having none of that shit.

Tyranny

Just picked up Tyranny and trying to sort my way through the Madness. Thought Disfavored were cool at first, but they're actually kind of terrible. I guess everyone in Tyranny is pretty terrible and I'm considering going on a power-hungry mad-wizard run.

Apparently jumping over a fence breaks stealth, immediately aggroing half the fort you're trying to infiltrate (also this shit is a fucking wooden outpost at best, just tear the damn thing down and murder these gits, some terrifying army you lot are).
I'm having a suprising amount of fun constantly starting over due to this ironman mode stuff, think I might go and make my own faction first chance I get this time, tho I really want to get Siri on my side before then and I'm not entirely sure if I can do that.

Actually RUN, like you keep reminding me to do every five seconds. This would actually be easy enough if you didn't get slapped around like ragdolls forcing me to run back to save your stupid asses and make absolutely no progress.

Also, the enemies that can be killed are weak to fire. You know this, as you see fit to remind me every five seconds. STOP giving me ice enchants.

Yeah, it was during the run out that I discovered just how expendable secondary pawns are: they don't level with you and your main pawn. I'm literally 10 levels ahead of the higher-level of the two.

Sadly, I was already pushing heavy encumbrance, keeping just into normal encumbrance by shifting crap onto the pawns. I wouldn't have been able to run very far with her over my shoulder.

You can't actually have your pawn as a waifu. So no build-your-own-waifu, something I discovered after main-pawn creation.

And what really annoys me, the death that caused the rant above could have been avoided if I had just run ahead instead of back, since the cutscene exit was literally right there.

Got into Warframe again thanks to a jim sterling video saying it is much improved.  Found a free roam area on earth that was not there before to my memory, so I ran around for a bit and took a bounty to rescue some dude.

It went bad from the start.  I saw a floating probe thing and shot it thinking it was wildlife.  Nope, apparently it was something I should not have fucked with because I couldn't really hurt it with my shiny boltor.  Fortunately I was able to dodge all it's attacks effortlessly.  So I just figured I would move on and it would stop following me.

I found the guy I was supposed to rescue and the little floaty bastard following me tipped me off immediately.   Oh well I don't have any stealthy weapons anyway.  I kill all the guards (the floaty bastard even helped!) and disarm the bomb, but now I'm supposed to escort the guy.

He immediately gets hit by a missile from the floaty bastard and dies instantly.  Fail. 
I see this game's difficulty took a jump.

Warframe

While you CAN go to the Plains pretty early, I don't think you're SUPPOSED to. Learned a similar lesson myself. Most people seem to say to go there once you've got this flight thing I've never heard of.
