Doom 2016/Doom 4. It's fun, but holy hell. That's a freaking annoying boss. And from what I've heard, there's the Arachantron from Doom 2 here too. Oh goood.

also, i really wonder how doing that fight on ultra-nightmare would go. one death and bam. a few hours of gametime lost.

I think that goes for any given room in Ultra Nightmare mode. There's a reason the achievement is only for beating the first level on UN, rather than the whole game.

I never look at the achievements. But if there's some speedrunner or anyone who's done it. I'd like to see it. Because holy shit.

I bet anyone who does things on ultra-nightmare mode runs a separate non-ultra-nightmare save so that they can avoid forgetting things like the jumping pattern for dodging the cyberdemon's heat waves. At the very least, they would have to play through the game on an easier difficulty first.

I had to quit for a bit after I couldn't find out where to walk. The isometric movement controls don't help.

The game has a mode that points out your character and all exits on the screen, it should also have one that shows all the areas you can walk on.

I didn't.

No one wants to look at the seat where 'Buckeye' used to sit. He killed so many flankers and was our leading specialist medic. He was well loved by everyone he led on operations.

3 weeks later we would take down the Advent. Before that I looked at the memorial and saw a few of his fellow high rankers paying respects. The ones who have been there since the beginning.

They could have been there for anyone but we knew.

Decked in a gauss flak, micrometeorite gun and upgraded shields, I thought I can take on three Urluquai fighters with their zap guns.

Fucking Urluquai and their zapguns decided otherwise though: first zapgun hit disabled my flak, second disabled my upgraded shields, and then I got zapped into space debris.

I tried the military greeting minigame for what must have been 15 minutes before ragequitting. I don't think you can lose, but I wanted to get a perfect score and whatever prize that may entail.

I'll say this: the Playstation's special snowflake buttons have caused me more grief in 15 minutes than any N64 control scheme. Why, Sony of 22 years ago? Why was ABXY not good enough for you!?

Walked out of the starting door: on my left an enemy looking in my direction, on my right a lava pool, nowhere to jump to.

My shortest run ever, 4-5 seconds total.

Catacomb Kids

Me and my friends were holding G, which was on the enemy's side of the map and between E and F. But we were holding that point. It's a rather narrow alley, and enemies were streaming in. We rushed into one of the buildings on the sides of the alley, one of my friends went prone in the hall and plopped down an ammo crate, everyone put their gas masks on and we spammed gas grenades into the stairwell until the enemies gave up. It was hilarious and awesome.

Battlefield 1, on Amiens

As is traditional, me and my friends rush to G at the start of the map. One of my friends is on a horse, and then it's just me and another friend as medics. I eventually picked up a tank hunter kit, so it boiled down to me sniping any approaching tank from one of the buildings and the horse friend scouting the surrounding area for approaching enemies. I even managed to shoot enemies out of the sky, because the tank hunter kit is hilarious and OP.

Co-op mode is currently rather difficult.

Thing is, there are no respawns for teammates, and if you play with bots, sometimes your teammates just act like partial (or complete) lemons.

Even if you don't play with bots, your teammates are human and are thus capable of missing shots or not reacting fast enough.

The reward is a Force Stealer for Cloud, which you can buy a little later on, only useful for it's two slots of double materia growth. The other two are Silver Glasses(+immune to Darkness) which you already could have bought, and HP Plus materia. It also requires the default controller settings, though that might be just the parade.

... I already got the best prize on the first try. I just thought that because I messed up a few times, doing better would get me a better thingy. FML.
