Martian construction is pretty sturdy, though. I tried knocking down a guard tower, which consists of four legs and a ladder. The entire tower remained standing with just one pole of the ladder holding it up after breaking the legs of it. What the hell are those ladders made of?
You musn't have been using all of your kaboom. Why weren't you using all of your kaboom?

I did use it all... on something else. Like tanks, and barracks. And groups of EDF because you don't seem to have hand grenades in this game.
You do have hand grenades. They're just a bit bulkier than all others,

Wizardry 8

Let's see...

1 fighter,
3 rangers,
1 alchemist,
1 psionic
0 priests/bishops
0 mages/bishops
0 gadgeteers/thieves

Plus one bug that depopulates the lower monastery...

Well, I think I've found the problem.
The biggest problem is that the Monastery is very unforgiving for some of the more... unusual party compositions. Once you're through the Monastery, it's not too bad.

I need to play Wizardry 8 again. Last time I played, I got the party stuck between a mass of fire ants and Ascension Peak. There was a gorgon in Ascension Peak who nearly killed the party single handed.

Not quite a death, but terrifyingly close...

My new prison was the largest I'd built so far. And, as I expanded my kitchen with some new cookers, my prison went into blackout. "No problem," I think. "I've got no space for more capacitors, so I'll just build another generator, slap a few new capacitors onto it, and we'll be back in business!"

And so I build my second generator, the first time I'd ever had to do so. I slapped on a couple of capacitors, flipped the switch... and after a brief second, the entire system went back into blackout.

It took several minutes of trial-and-error (and a dozen additional capacitors bought) before I looked at the wiki and discovered that you can't have two generators on the same power network. By the time I split my power network in half and rebuilt my generators to not be adjacent to each other, there was less than an hour until breakfast. And you need power to cook food.

Ah well, at least only half my prisoners went hungry that morning.  :o

Was playing on a server that has a Wasteland area (bit of unprotected land for gathering resources, since you aren't allowed to build anywhere but on your own property in the main town area) and getting some stuff my friend asked me for, when I happened upon an Enderman.
Unbeknownst to me I was not wearing my armor (given to new players upon entering the server, which I really like).

Wizardry 8

Let's see...
-snip-
I later tried an all-ranger run, which was much more successful. Turns out rangers have very good initiative compared to most early-game enemies. However, the lack of anyone to pick locks (and the fact that a certain item hadn't spawned) was painful in the upper monastery, and things started to go to hell once I got out into the dreaded Arnika road. The party died to 3 Higardi Roustabouts that they probably could have taken where it not for the rats that wandered in and ate up enough of their shots for said brigands to close the distance without taking any damage.

Change one of the Rangers to a Ninja.

Still have awesome initiative, and can pick locks.

My dad once tried a party with a fighter to soak up a bit of damage, a gadgeteer to pick locks and do engineering, and no less than four bishops. It was... interesting.

I had to be discontent with the right side of the map, despite 2 feasible starting locations, and 2 (now) easy to cross Crimson biomes.  I went left and got swarmed by Eater of Souls into the pits.

I jumped right into multiplayer without building a custom deck first. I ended up with something like 10 murlocs and absolutely none of the really cool cards I got from the latter half of the tutorial quest.

Hearthstone. Weird how "just one more match" turns into "maybe I'll stop in a few hours".

Alongside a solly, I carried our team to the last point, easily destroying the sentries along the way. However, at the last point we rusted into place. I shot the sentries to bits five times, but alas, I was on the sort of team that doesn't realize you have to stand at the point to win and prefers to stay back to ensure that they don't die and are completely useless in the process.

Why does the Druid have an insanely game-changing card that restores eight health? Why can they have two of them in a single deck?

Hearthstone. I've leveled up the Mage and Rogue three times apiece, entirely because of losses against the Druid practice AI.
