My first ever playthrough is a Nuzlocke Random PP run, because I've wanted to do all of those things for a while and its annoying to have to implement them yourself.
My starter is a Staravia I name Spaceman. Ok, 3rd evolution, has 75 PP worth of damaging moves, Pokemon I rather liked back in Diamond or whenever, that looks good. So the first wild pokemon I meet? A lvl 5 Espurr. Since Espurr is fucking amazing, I NEED to capture this thing. Throw a pokeball at it just to see, doesn't work. Quick attack it, brings it down to a little over half health. Don't want to risk criting it so I throw half my pokeballs, all fail (the formula this uses seems less random than the actual games). Wincing inwardly, I quick attack it... and it fucking crits! So now I just have one pokemon.
Flash forward and my second capturable Pokemon is some weird bunny thing that knows a lot of useless stat moves. OK, but at least it knows defense curl, so my Staravia can damage it without killing it despite being twice its level. I capture it, naming it O 'Hare. Find out it can always run from wild pokemon... which is a ridiculously powerful ability for a Nuzlocke run. I'm now basically immune to (all but a few) wild pokemon! Sadly he only has 20 something PP of pound for doing damage.
OK, my party is pretty good. Since the random pokemon often give a LOT of exp, Spaceman is hugely overleveled despite basically not grinding, and O' Hare will give us some utility and ability to capture Pokemon without killing them. I begin grinding O' Hare by swapping out to Spaceman, its going pretty good until I meet some bizarre Dragon Ball Z looking thing. I switch out to Staravia, get two hits in which do suprisingly little damage, but the thing is still close to death. Then it uses dragon rage. You know, that late game move that does
a flat amount of damage? Spaceman dies in one hit from a level 5 pokemon. RIP Spaceman.
So this is looking bad, but O' Hare can always retreat, which means I have infinite access to the pokecenter behind me. Plus I dropped all my money on potions. I begin carefully grinding O' Hare up on those wild pokemon that look vulnerable to normal damage, planning to beat the only unavoidable trainer I can see (there might be more ahead of me, I'm playing blind), push on to the next area, capture a new pokemon, and then build up a viable party from there. But I notice Spaceman is still in my party, so I head to the PC to bury him as per Nuzlocke tradition. This confuses the game, which seems to think I'm trying to deposit my last party member. I try to do it with Move, which let's me pick him up but not bring him to Box 1.
After a few seconds of this the game crashes. I did not save.
