Slapped somebody so hard my hand flew out of the arena and got me disqualified.

Ah, that brings back memories. You guys make me want to play Toribash again, just as I'm preparing for another full playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy.
Perhaps if I actually still remembered my techniques or had any good ones in the first place...

The computer's Aya's masterful jumping and timing perfectly defeated my Remilia in the first round. I won the second round, but even though I caught her in my most powerful spell card and drained half of her health, she still managed to abuse my inability to block to defeat me. Well, I say that's decent for my first play with Remilia.

Got killed in a fairly long random encounter in Traverse Town 3rd District. Probably wouldn't have happened if Donald and especially Goofy didn't keep throwing potions around at the slightest provocation. Could've saved one for that fight. Also would have gone to an earlier save if the previous save hadn't been half an hour and one hard boss fight(Cerberus) ago.

Lost one of my starting 7 to stupidity. I was trying to build a wall alongside a series of bridges over a volcanic crater, but I got greedy/impatient with the designations. He built a wall with no support, the resulting cave dust knocked him in. And by that point he'd somehow made friends with most of the migrants and started up a romance with one of the other originals. His passing doesn't seem to be affecting them yet, though.

Died multiple times to skeleton packs near where that giant crow drops you off. Sometimes it was the same group of skeletons, sometimes it was a different group of skeletons. I'm bad at the whole "dodge around the enemy's attack and backstab them" metagame that would make fighting humanoid enemies like skeles easier. Having to fight two aggro'd skeletons at a time didn't help.

Practice parrying. The skeletons tend to wind up their attacks excessively, so with practice they're pretty easy to riposte. Also, heavy attacks with most weapons smash them, giving you time to recover your stamina or whale on them until they reassemble.

This. Learn to parry and most of Dark Souls becomes easy street. The other advice is good, too; a single normal attack from a club will usually knock them to pieces, giving you time to beat them some more before they reform. A Divine Club is one of the easiest - if most time consuming - ways to deal with the entirety of the Catacombs.

I was helping people kill the hot spider chick.
I got summoned near the pipe bonfire and zoned in to see my summoner being chased around by a red phantom with a greatsword.  The summoner ran by me while I was still doing the summoned phantom animation, and the guy with the greatsword casually comes up behind me while I'm immobile and does a perfectly timed casual backstab on me then continues chasing the summoner into the dead end as I die.

That's some indict worthy crap right there.

Ah, the good feels of Blighttown, beating Quelaag and using the money to buy demon spears from Shiva, then gifting them to the next person you help, ad infinitum. That is, until one of those stupid fly monsters breathes fire all over him, aggroing him and making him chase you up the elevator to his death.

RE: Skeletons
I was able to reliably stunlock them by using a heavy thrust attack just as they reform. The trick is all in the timing, and I usually started attacking when the lock on circle was just around their waist, which gave them time to fully reform, but not enough to move or attack. However, it's useless when fighting multiple enemies.

Just going room to room, clearing things mildly effectively. I click on an enemy who was standing outside of this room with other dudes and I start attacking. My attacks have an aoe effect and he and random monsters inside the room start taking damage. Then I realize I'm taking a lot of damage from nowhere. I hit my macro, which resync my client to the server, and lo and behold, I was desynced and was actually in the room surrounded by mobs, pinned against a wall. I mashed my potions and the sensible thing to do would've been to get the hell out of there, which I had the ability to do so, but I instead try to fight.
However, the enemies were magically enhanced and extra tough, so as the group gets low, I die. Nothing more frustrating than clicking a desync'd enemy only to be desync'd to your doom.

Not my death, but...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I think this city is untouchable. It's on a shitty, one-tile island, because every tile around it is beach. My land units can't attack it because of that. I have no free space to land my troops and I can't disembark on the city and storm it. As far as I can tell, I am literally incapable of attacking this city, and it is most likely the last city of my first contact and first enemy, the Mayans.

I got into the cap zone, waiting for it getting capped with my mates because of points. Got hit by enemy artillery 1 second before the cap. Fuck. Got to the other cap zone, was waiting. And guess what? I got teamkilled by a machine gunner from far behind me - again 1 second before the cap. #!$H!!1 ... no points for me. :(

Got killed by a random Screwdiver who charged at me from off screen, while I was in the middle of casting Cure to heal myself. Goddamn, Ariel had the MP to heal me as well, but she didn't. Dumb bitch.

Couldn't figure out what the game meant by throwing magic at Ursula's cauldron, and then that annoying helicopter attack she does(accompanied by that annoying laugh) killed me.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I've noticed that the next battle(against Giant Ursula) seems to have been inspired by Pokemon, since Ursula clearly uses Bubble, Bite(or Crunch?), Thunder, and Hyper Beam(including the recharge period after using it).
