Playing multiplayer Neverwinter Nights 2 on the default campaign.  I the greatsword specialist 19 strength 16 con fighter decimated everything in melee.  Most of the battles pretty much boiled down to the druid player casting flame weapon, animalistic power and (for the lulz) light on me and then telling me to go nuts.  I did so and it was good.

Attacking the bandit camp building I decide to charge into the central room while the druid brings the (player)mage and the 2 npcs to clear out the hallway.  The origonal campaign was clearly not intended for multiplayer.  Doing stuff like that we could clear whole zones in minutes.

But the central room happens to contain my greatest weakness.  A (enemy)mage.  The (enemy)mage stuns me almost immediately.  And I rush once it wears off.  Before I get to the (enemy)mage the melee mook in the room taunts me.  And me with my meathead will saves happily fall for it.  Meanwhile the (enemy)mage is throwing all manner of electric death at me, and an archer across the room is plugging me full of annoying arrows.  I finally get to the (enemy)mage and cut the bastard in half with one exploding swing.  Then I take one last arrow and hit 0 hp.  I'm down.

The mobs I left over charge after the rest of the party.  Despite my warning, they only have dwarfy mc psycotic fighter to tank, and he's already engaged.  I take control of Neeshka(PartyNPC rogue) and try to keep them off the squishies.  That also fails and she also drops.  Then the (player)mage drops because he didn't take combat casting and then the druid fights valiantly after wild shaping into a bear.  And actually goes down after dwarfy McFighter.

We all rolled for blame and ended up blaming Neeshka for the wipe.  Damn triflings.  Can't trust them to do anything right.

Was enjoying my first game of Caves of Qud. After killing some stuff heading north, I wandered into an area that had a few heretic-zealots. I killed one after a short battle that almost killed me (having also been ambushed by an insect thing right after). The only other heretic-zealot that I saw was a good distance away and injured from fighting off it's own insect things. So I make my way over to find out directly to my north there's another heretic-zealot in perfect condition (I'm 75% hp by this point, having stepped back and forth to heal for a moment), and what I can only assume is a legendary insect thing, because it's purple and it hates me. So I make a run for it, as I'm on the edge of the map. One step into the south, and I greet an old area with some flies that had been fluttering around. "Okay," I think, "I'll just walk around a bit, heal, and see if I can hit-and-run them." So I take a step and get acquainted with how CoQ actually handles areas.

BAM! You are stunned. You also have 7 hp now. And all of those guys are now with you. So I run, safely making it one step ahead of them. Then I run into a cliff that limits my step-ahead movement, get hit again. I'm around 5 hp. Keep running, although not actually having that run skill so it's more like I'm fleeing at a casual pace. Apparently, they can't do anything but chase after me at a casual pace, so it evens out. For some reason I start making a decent gap as I make it to the next area with trees. I see a projectile fire from the rear of the group, and despite it clearly looking like it missed, it hits. Stunned! Stunned again! Stunned yet again! You died.

Damn Heretic-Zealots. Where's the Inquisition when you need them...

Stung by a Changeling.  I KO'd him with a fire extinguisher, but that sting eventually put me to sleep, and then he ate me.

I woke up after a bit, too, only to fall asleep again.

I don't think we have changeling on Baystation.  What exactly do they do?

We have them, but only about 70% done, they work, but we don't spawn them often

Basically, if you grab somebody in a choke-hold, you can absorb them, and then morph into them at will
They also have need things like a stinger that causes you to fall asleep/hallucinate

What's the point of them?  Just messing around?

Also, does that mean that there were in fact admins online the one time we apparently got a changeling on the server in the midst of the griefer swarm due to the goon servers being down the other day?

Got mobbed into a corner while carrying only a knife, a pistol, 3 proximity mines and a missile launcher. Dropped 2 of the mines, survived the blast. Shame about the fact that I'd already dropped the third.

Probably, but if you get so many terribad players, admining becomes less of kicking them out, and more just trying to force them to leave

Also, there isn't really any point to them, but they existed in the gooncode when we got it, and theres no real point removing them, they aren't unbalancing, and they require admins to use, so they were left in

Well it sounds like it would be fun to play one.  The main problem we had the other day was that it was a traitor round but three or four other people were just running around trying to fuck things up as much as possible for no particular reason.  This one guy tried to steel my Captain ID and then when I punched him he tossed me on a table and grabbed it while I was stunned then dropped me in the brig.  Security finally came, but by then he'd left with my ID and when they let me out and arrested him they never bothered checking him for it.  When I came back from getting my ID They had him but he again managed to escape and tossed me on the table again, which stunned me again.  Then he somehow managed to stun the HoS and then I accidentally punched him while trying to wake him up, so after I succeeded he decided to stun and cuff me.    Then he let the other idiot go, and said idiot left, and eventually killed the HoS, broke into security with a bunch of his idiot friends and beat the crap out of me and the CE then stripped me and tossed me in the garbage... which somehow dropped me in EVA.  Somehow I managed to call the escape pods and get away with the CE and decided to let someone else be captain next round.  None of them was the traitor.  The traitor had been killed sometime during the chaos.

The asshole ringleader was called Charles Green, and I joined today to find the QM filled with plasma and the QM's name was Charles Green.  So apparently the jackass has taken a liking to our server.

And maybe we should continue this discussion in the SS13 thread.

Outnumbered in my Ferdinand, enemies in the stree to the right, enemies in the street to the left, kill the left ones, then the right ones, down to some 300 hp by now, going after this pesky T-34-85 that keeps popping out and shooting me, then i notice a Hummel chasing me, i go around the corner, shoot the T-34-85 and get him down to some 20%, then he shoots my gun and i go kersplode, but i still make 60k

Getting loads of kills is pretty awesome like that. It sucks when those 5 enemies are all heavies, you just know you're going to die.
