Mine actually can run modern games pretty well, its only when highly intensive graphics get involved that I have issues. The fact that it is still supported and gets updated is a good thing.

Oh god no.

Wouldn't that actually be older than mine? Personally, I prefer NVIDIA over ATI since ATI gave me problems with computers in the past.

Indeed, it is older. Not only that, the 7100 cards aren't cards at all; they're integrated chips and therefore suck.
