Immigrants arrived, no notifaction
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:02:00 am »

I had a group of immigrants arrive early lin the summer of the first year, and i never got notification of the event. There were 9 of them, and they just popped up one day. I have the save, if you need it.

If you press (a), is there no notification in the list there, either?  (You can scroll up and down in this list, by the way, if its been a while since they appeared.)  I'm not sure what that would tell us, but ToadyOne might be able to infer something from it.

And I'm assuming it wasn't likely that you happened to be trying to use the function keys to zoom to a particular location just milliseconds after the immigrants arrived.  That would have resulted in a flicker as the view moved to the immigrants and then to your intended location, and the game would be mysteriously paused, too.  Not to mention the "Immigrants have arrived!" message at the bottom of the screen.  So this is probably just brainstorming on my part.

I did Press "a" It happened again, adn there was no notifcation there either. however, this was during the autumn of the first year, when they were supposed to arrive For the very first time. The game didn't pause  then, either, i just got a "MIgrants have arrived" message. I think i was doing stuff at the time, but that would be iffy. i'm sure that the game didn't' pause, OR try to move the screen. Of ocurse, they actually come from a screen RIGHT next to my base, so i might just not notice.
