For fun, here are the character screens. I doubt if I'll continue this thread, though, since no one seems very interested.
First, the team's stoneworker, Obok Channelbear. She obviously put all her points into charisma.
Interestingly enough, she is friends with both the miner and the jeweler -- two professions linked to stoneworking.
Next up is Obok's miner friend, Sazir Tangledlances. She has absolutely terrible stats, though her likes (leather armor in particular) are fairly mundane.
Sazir's friend-list consists solely of Obok, though that is unsurprising, considering how there are only seven of them.
Here is Mebzuth Gatebends. Another female, she is pessimistic.
She is clearly the odd one out, holding a grudge against the expedition leader (who started off as a fisherdwarf -- how ironic). She also considers herself to not have any friends among her fellows.
Here we have the woodworker, Zuglar Boltflag. She is a worshipper of Mebzuth (no relation to Miss Gatebends above, though the two are the same age and gender...) and she is a very serious dwarf. Also, she apparently likes doors. How convenient.
Humorously, Zuglar is a friend to the
other Zuglar in our embark team (seriously, what are the odds of
that?), who is a woodcutter. It's funny how dwarves with related jobs seem to either be friends or enemies, though it also makes a good deal of sense that such would be the case.
Next up is Zuglar Bookimages, our woodcutter, and another female. Unlike Boltflag, however, Bookimages is somewhat immature. I can only imagine what kinds of wacky adventures these two have had before coming to this outpost.
Iden Armoracted, the jeweler and one of the embark team's only males, is a rather gloomy fellow who prefers to let others be in charge. However, I have a feeling he's not all there: because I'm fairly certain that pumpkin is not a color.
Here's the expedition leader: Ral Helpbronze, who is by far the youngest dwarf in the embark team. A fact which shows through his rash personality. Perhaps this is why he is so disliked by Mebzuth?
Well, the feeling is mutual, on his part. Also, his only friend is Iden, the only other male and apparently Ral's loyal supporter.
To wrap it up, here are their gods.
Egul, a god of order who most often takes the form of a male dwarf.
Next up is Akim, dwarven god of war and fortresses.
Enshal Autumnalseasons, god of youth and long life, who has a surprisingly fitting name. He too takes the form of a male dwarf.
Mebzuth is a very generic god associated with crafts, which is somewhat disappointing.
Last, but most certainly not least, is
Onol Esdorlimar Onolstettad -- Onol Sellwealths the Mountainous Taxes, a male dwarven god of jewels, taxes, and wealth, of whom our jeweler is a faithful worshiper. He's my favorite of the deities of the Rocks of Alchemy that I know of, solely because he has the most appropriate name and devotee I have ever seen.
