I have utterly no idea how to equip my weapons after I lose hold of them in a battle. Also, how do I take out weapons that get stuck in my wounds?

Shift I will help get things out of you, and g will pick things up off the ground. I cant remember the button to equip weapons, ive been doing fortress mode a tad recently
But who needs to remove weapons from their body - EAT THE PAIN!

Earlier I had a pike stuck in shoulder. That was wierd. Thanks for the information though.

p - Put away items you're holding
r - Take out items you've got

w - Wear clothing/armor

Sometimes you will find when removing items you will be holding, for example, 5 chainmail shirts in the same hand you hold your weapon, which is strange.
