Sorry guys!

Slaughter the denizens of the chasm and use their remains to bridge the gap and then head south. Also butcher them to bolster our food supplies.

"Hey Urist that chasm looks sort of like a...you know..."

"What? No it doesn't...well maybe a little...it's only happenstance I'm sure."

"Ahem, anyway."

In the future, please pm me if I take too long posting my turn. I had in fact totally missed the update.

No I'm not psychic. I just know that this is dwarf fortress. and the most stupidly awesome and inexplicable thing is probably going to be the first thing to happen.

North again.

(Note: My dwarves are on reduced food rations, because they brought less food in order to take more booze in the wagon. They know their priorities.)

The Hammers shall honor their dead as before, but in a circle, and shall pile up the dead drow together in the center of the circle in disgraceful, humiliating positions, and make it so that the cairn fingers are directed towards the pile. We shall also loot their belongings for anything worthy of aiding our righteous Dwarven cause.

We shall then move east. Our plan over the next few days is to clear out this corner, to confirm that there are no other stinking, straggling Drow that happened to be away from their camp hiding here. After that, three or four days from now we should be back at our entrance to restock, and send word through external channels of the information we gathered. Then, we shall find and kill this drow king, smashing his unfortunate face into the living rock.

But of course I will play these actions out in real time as well, I just figured I'd plan out loud here.

Would it be possible to stretch the map out a little bit to make it easier to see without zooming?

I'm interested in the behind-the-scenes mechanics of this game

But if the knowledge would lead to cheating metagaming temptation for me then I'll wait till after the game has been concluded.

The mechanics are all about dice and charts. All of my design.
If you wish I could make them public at end-game.

Also, map = made bigger.
