I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

Have the best mason in the squad build a coffin for Deber and place the kobolds trinkets to decorate it as trophys and then continue east. Oh and salvage anything useful we can get from the kolbolds.

Our dwarves smear a bit of the blood of the dead on our hammers so that Ilbruk and Eldek can continue to fight with us. We bury them under cairn stones that vaguely resemble a fist with an extended middle finger.

We then furiously head East; to trap and kill any drow that could be hiding in this corner of the map

The mourners fortify the area (I'm assuming we have less able troops outside of the caves for garrison duty?)and send word for the miners! Let's start collecting...
Our Forces will search South again.

Cursed metal. How many legends have I heard...the weapon wielded by the Grand Hammerer...capable of shattering the very air in front of him? The adamant bolts of the famed Doomed Legion? Could pass through 10 Goblins and not slow in the slightest. The doors of Bombekton-which no Goblin could ever pass through, not with the foulest magics, or the strongest blows. It was a traitor that opened them from within...

But then...the prophecy.  "The Prison pent yearn...for the swing of a pick. The adamant our destiny and doom". Aye, our destiny. Our doom? Hah. We are already doomed. The Mourners care not. Let the prison pent come forth, if they dare...

Sending word will remove a dwarf from you army, taking him a day to reach the fortified area and another to come back to the spire with miners and some sort of a guard.
By that time you will be 2 days away from him, meaning that the chances of that soldier catching up are null.

Are you sure you wish to "sacrifice" that warrior?

We'll rendevous with our man one square west of the spire in 3 days...
