Hiigara, home.
It's been just over a year since the Kushan went from their exiled planet of Kharak, being chased by both pirates and the Taiidan but finally the mother ship pulled into low orbit around Hiigara and transports set down on the planets surface.
From the sleepers set in the cryo trays that were saved from Kharak were Kiith Teiba, a once powerful clan on Kharak when members went into cryo but they emerged in a new world were they did not have the power they had once enjoyed.
Kiith Teiba had been at the cutting edge of space travelling and surveying technologies having scientists in the team that developed the mother ships engines and sensors but on the great journey to Hiigara, both had been upgraded numerous times making the Kiiths once proud standing only slight. Luckily the important family members had thought ahead, freezing key family members with experimental technology that allowed the Kiith to gain some gain in the new homeworld.
Since then most of the Kiith have mostly left Hiigara and followed the steps of all the other 'Cryo Kiith', finding their fortune in the stars with surveying and mapping systems surrounding Hiigara. Some have stayed on Hiigara, important or retired family members who involve themselves in the politics of the Kiith system but most are in space, whether it is in one of the orbiting spacestations or in one of the many fleets that strike out into the unknown.

Background: Voss and his family were among the sleepers rescued by the Kushan when their mothership returned to Hiigara. They were awakened when the fleet finally reached their homeworld. His family was one of the many members of Kiith Teiba who set out for a home of their own. Though they were of high standing among the Kiith, Voss was inspired by the tales of the Kushan fleet's endeavors in finding their home. Much to his family's dismay, Voss joined the fleet. He is now a rookie interceptor pilot. Voss is a strong-willed, hardworking individual who is determined to make a name for himself in the fleet. He might just do it, too...if he can survive long enough and perform well enough.

Bg: Formerly a robotics engineer, Qre'to awoke from cryostasis ready to deploy his talents on Hiigara. Upon reevaluating the situation of his people, and inspecting the technology developed by Karen Sjet, he has turned his talents to improving Drone Frigates. Dabbling in cybernetics, his ultimate goal is to become an Unbound pilot of a remote-drone carrier; he dreams of controlling swarms of multi-role drones with only his mind.

Background: The lone survivor from one of the lesser Kiiths on Kharak, Anja joined the navy to distract her from her grief. While on her maiden flight she discovered a nearly supernatural talent for reading shipboard scanners, and so retrained as a Scout pilot.

Background: In his youth, Loki was a troublemaker. He would use his speed to play tricks on those around him, and could run circles around most people. This choice is made apparant with his choice of ship when he took up the call to arms, and entered the Scout Corps. He still tends to do a lot of taunting when he can.
